"Me too, I hope we can do this again sometime?" "Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world" William leaned in and they had a long passionate good night kiss. "Goodnight Will" Heather said as she turned to unlock the door to her room. (Claire had just gone in) "Sweet dreams Hezz" William retreated back to the limo and Heather went into the room. Heather and Claire stayed up for 3 hours, telling each other EVERYTHING that happened. William and Harry talked on the ride home about the night, but went back to their rooms alone, to dream of their new loves. The next morning, William was woken up by a fierce shake. Given of course by his best friend and roommate Chris. "Will, you have got to see this" Chris said as he opened up the newspaper in his hand. On the page were color pictures of him and Heather in the pool getting ready to kiss and Claire and Harry kissing behind a tree. "Bloody hell" William yelled as he sat up straight in his bed. "I know…..what are you going to do?" Chris questioned. "I don't know. Does Harry know?" "Yeah, he's the one who brought the paper to me this morning. He couldn't stay though because he had to go on that school trip." "Oh yeah…..Do you think the girls know?" "I don't think so, why would they be up at 8am on their holiday? But you had better tell them." "Damn the paparazzi! Now Heather will never like me!" William punched his pillow in rage. "Don't worry man, I'm sure she won't be mad" Chris said as he patted William on the back. "I hope not" "aaaahhhh" Heather sighed as she swung her feet over the side of her bed and placed them into her pink fluffy slippers. "I am going to have a shower" Heather said as she walked patted Claire on the head. "ugh! What time is it?" Claire said as she lifted her head from the pillow. "10am" "oh great..." Claire struggled to untangle herself from the bed covers. "do you want some breakfast?" "Yeah sure!" Heather yelled back from inside the bathroom. "I'll just go down to the lobby and get the paper. I'll be back in a minute." "ok…..oh Claire! Wait!" Heather yelled as she swung open the door. "ask for some more of that complimentary shampoo!" Claire rolled her eyes as she shut the door behind her. She stepped into the elevator and went 10 floors down to the lobby. She crossed over the patio and passed the pool until she came to a large brick building. A sign over head with an arrow pointing to the right said LOBBY. When she entered the large area she noticed people staring at her and watching her every move. 'what's their problem?' she thought to herself. As she approached the front desk, she reached for the paper…she knew why they were looking. "Should I call her?" William whispered to Chris in the middle of biology class. "Yeah, but not yet, wait until later, after lunch maybe" Chris gave him a half hearted smile. "Do you think she'll still like me?" "Of course. If she really likes you she won't let this get in the way" "Thanks" "No problem, hey, what's a guy's best mate for anyway?" Chris looked the other way, and William put his head down on the desk. AFTER LUNCH "I am so nervous! What I she hangs up on me? What if she says she hates me? I could never forgive myself! Never!" William said as he put his head on the side of the pay phone. "Listen to me! You are going to have to talk o her sooner or later, and wouldn't you rather talk to her now to see how she is handling it? Besides, if you wait to long she might think that you don't care" "Your right, I am going to call her." BRING BRING "Don't get that" Claire said as she blocked Heather's reach for the phone. "Why? It could be important! It could be William or Harry!" "And it could be another reporter! We have already had 8 call in the last half an hour. Trust me, don't pick up the phone." "I can't believe this. How could we have let this happen? Omigod! What will our parents say?" "I don't know, they probably don't even know yet. They won't find out until around 6 tonight when they watch the news, what is that our time?" "1am" Heather said as she paced the room. "Well, we will expect a phone call then won't we?" Both girls sat beside each other on the bed. And in unison they said "They're going to kill us" They looked at each other. After trying to keep straight faces, they burst out laughing. "It is rather funny actually!" Heather said as she sat up from lying on her back laughing. "Yeah, it is…and hey, if they do kill us, at least will die together!" "Yeah!" the two girls hugged and then decided that they didn't care what people thought and they headed down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. "Well? What did she say?" Chris asked William who slumped back into the room and threw himself on his bed. "She wasn't there, there was no answer…or maybe she knew it was me and didn't pick up because she hates me!" William screamed into the pillow. "What am I going to do! The first girl that I love must hate me!" "She doesn't hate you, maybe she doesn't know and she was just out shopping or something…Why don't we pop by their hotel tonight and see OK? Will that make you feel better?" "Yeah, maybe you're right, I have to stop worrying" "Good job mate! Hey! Wait a minute! Did you say you love her!" Chris yelled in excitement and he stared and William who was now red in the face. "Gees, all the people in the hotel must know by the way that they are staring at us." Claire whispered to Heather across the table. "Why do you think William and Harry haven't called yet?" " I don't know, maybe they have to talk to the Queen about it and clear it all up or something" "Can I take your order ladies?" The tall waiter asked as he took out a pencil and notepad. "Yes, I will have some French toast with a side of bacon" Heather said as she handed him the menu. "And you?" He asked Claire. "I will have scrambled eggs with a side order of hash-browns." "Have we met before?" The waiter asked as he took Claire's menu. "No-I don't think so" Claire said as she looked at Heather with a confused face. "I am sure that I have seen you both somewhere" the waiter mumbled as he walked towards the kitchen to enter their orders. "What a weirdo....Oh! Wait a minute! I know why he thinks he knows us! He saw our pictures in the paper! That's why he recognizes us." Heather said as she snapped her fingers with her sudden thought. "Of course, should we tell him?" Claire questioned. "No, we don't want anymore attention!" The two quietly talked over their breakfast before heading out for an early morning swim in the hotel's pool. LATER THAT NIGHT… "Are you ready mate?" Chris asked William as they stood outside the girls' hotel. "Yeah, I guess so. How do you think she'll react? I'm so nervous." William said as he fidgeted with his shirt. "Stop worrying and get on with it!" Chris said as he pushed William towards the door of the hotel. "I'll be waiting in the lobby for you to see how it all turns out OK?" "OK, thanks." William started off for the hotel door. He opened the glass door and asked the man at the desk for Heather's room number. He got into the elevator and went up to the 10th floor, he walked for a bit and stopped outside door number 567. He took a deep breath and raised his hand to knock on the door. He knocked twice and then took a few steps back. He rubbed his nervous hand through his hair and almost turned to go until he heard the turning of the knob. He quickly turned around to face the door. "Who is it?" a voice asked from the other side. "William" "Just a minute.." there was the sound of the locks opening and then the creaking of the heavy door as it was opened. "Hey William, are you here to see Heather?" Claire asked as she waved her hand for him to come in. "Yeah, Harry wanted to come but he had to…." "go on a school field trip….I know, he called me a couple of minutes ago." "oh" he said as he managed a slight nervous smile. "Heather is in the shower and I am just about to run out and get some food from the store, but you can wait in here, she'll be right out" Claire said as she grabbed a coat from the chair. "OK, thanks." Claire left the room and William went and sat down on the small couch in front of the TV. He turned on the BBC. 'Heather Carter and Claire Reynolds are the known girlfriends of Princes William and Harry, they were…' William rolled his eyes and shut the TV off. He heard the bathroom door being unlocked and a humming coming from the other room. He slowly turned around, there was Heather, she was wearing a green bathrobe and her hair was pulled up into a matching towel. She was looking in the mini refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water. Then she turned around… "AAHHH" she screamed. "Omigod! I didn't see you there!" she said as she held her hand over her heart and breathed heavily. William slowly walked over to her, and on the way, he bent over and picked up the bottle of water she had dropped and placed it on a near by table. He held her by the arms and looked at her lovingly in the eyes. His eyes welled up with tears. "I am so sorry" He choked out. "Oh William, it's OK, you didn't know they were there and...." He interrupted her with a kiss. "Thank-you" he said as he brushed his hand gently against the side off her face. She placed her hand over his and closed her eyes softly. "For what?' she asked "For not hating me" "I could never hate you William, why would you even think that, it's not your fault that the paparazzi were there, that's their job and I knew it would happen sometime." "So, your…not mad?" "Of course not!…well, at first I was angry, but never at you, I was angry at myself for letting them do that to us and then I was angry at them for having no respect, but I'm not angry at anyone now, I got over it. My parents didn't take it so well though" They both laughed as she rolled her eyes. "Did you get in trouble?" he asked. "No, not really. They were mad that they had to find out through the news and not through me, but that was about it, what about you, was your dad mad?" "Not as mad as I thought he would be, I think he understood…" A look of fear suddenly came over Heather's face as she stared blankly at him. "What? What is it? What's wrong? Heather?" William said as he frantically tried to figure out what was wrong. She looked down at herself and her mouth opened as she clung to the sides of her robe, bringing them closer to her. "I am in my bathrobe and my hair is in a towel! I must look awful!" Heather said as she pulled the towel off of her head revealing wavy dark brown hair. "You look gorgeous" He said as he stroked her hair. "Thanks….but your bias" she joked. "Heather…" William started. "Yes?" Heather said as she started walking towards the window to open the drapes. "I-I- I love you" He blurted out. She stopped walking and turned around, she stared at him and a smile spread across her face. "If you don't want to say it back, then that's OK, I understand, I just want you to know how I feel, Heather, I do love you, and you're the only one I have ever loved and ever will love" "Oh William…" she said running towards him. "I love you too!"
