How the NWO Started

May 27th, 1996: During a Mike Enos-Steve Doll match on WCW Monday Nitro, Scott Hall, with slicked hair and the toothpicks, climbs down through the stands and gets the microphone. Scott entered the ring and said "Most of you know who I am, but you don't know why I'm here." Scott said he had a scoop for Bischoff.."You want a war? You got one!" Bischoff said he wouldn't even dignify Scott's statement (without naming him). At the end of the show, Scott returned to the announcers' booth and challenged "Billionaire Ted" to bring 3 of his best wrestlers against "us" and said "we" are taking over.

June 3rd, 1996: At the end of Nitro, Scott returned to the broadcast booth. Heenan ran away and Scott told "Mr. Ken-Doll" not to go anywhere. He said that Bischoff had started it and know "we" are going to finish it. Sting then came in and talked about how Scott had said some bad things about WCW, Hogan, Savage and himself, and that Scott was in the jungle. Sting challenged Scott one-on-one, but Hall said that nobody would tell him when or where. Sting then did the "is that right" routine and then slapped Scott. Cops came over and Scott said that he would have a "small, no make that big surprise for Sting next week."

June 10th, 1996: At the end of Nitro, Scott returned again. Here's what went down:

BISCHOFF:: Wait a minute...wait a minute...I don't want any trouble with you. I don't want any trouble with you here now, but I do have to point out to that you came out here last week... where is it...the big surprise. I mean I've heard a lot of talk, but where's the walk. (Scott points behind Bischoff)

BISCHOFF: What? Where is he? (Kevin Nash taps Eric on his shoulder, Bischoff looks shocked)

KEVIN: You been sittin' out here for six months, runnin' your mouth. This is where the big boys play huh? Look at the adjective - play. We ain't here to play. Now he (Scott) said last week he was gonna to bring somebody out here. I'm here. You still don't have your three people, and you know why? Because no body wants to face us. This show is about as interesting as Marge Schott reading excerpts from Mein Kampf!

BISCHOFF: I don't want any trouble...

KEVIN: trouble...because you know I'll kick your teeth down your throat. Where's your three guys? couldn't get a paleontologist to get a couple of these fossils cleared? You ain't got enough guys off the dialysis machine to get a team?! (Scott ruffles Bischoff's hair)

KEVIN: Yeah, where's Hogan? Where's Hogan? Out doing another episode of "Blunder in Paradise?" Where's the Macho Man huh? Doing some Slim Jim commercial? Hey we're here.

BISCHOFF: Look...I don't have the authority right here right now. You want to fight? The fight isn't with me. You want three guys? Tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock I'll be in Atlanta. I'll be in the offices of WCW. I'll try and get you your fight...and you know what? Live this Sunday in Baltimore... Great American guys want to show up? You guys want to fight? You show up. I'll see if I can get you your fight.

KEVIN: I don't know about you (to Scott) but they love us in Baltimore.

SCOTT: Hey...hey big mang...I say me and you...we be at the Bash. Maybe these punks want to fight.

KEVIN: Bring what you've got. The measuring stick just changed around here're looking at them. (Kevin shoves Bischoff and throws the microphone at him, then he and Scott go out to the crowd.)

June 16th, 1996: At the Great American Bash, Bischoff came on to answer the challenge. Scott and Kevin came out. Bischoff said I promised you an answer, and here it is. Bischoff said that they would have their war at the Bash at the Beach in Daytona Beach, Florida. Bischoff asked straight out, "Do you work for the WWF?" which Kevin and Scott said no to. Hall asked if it was the Nacho Man or the Huckster and said he and his surprise buddy would carve things up. Bischoff announced that he would announce the people tomorrow on Nitro. That pissed off Scott and Kevin. Scott punched Bischoff in the stomach, doubling him over, and Kevin powerbombed him through a nearby table.

June 17th, 1996: Gene Okerlund said that the names that were chosen from were Giant, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, Lex Luger, and Ric Flair. Okerlund announced it would be Lex Luger, Sting and Randy Savage facing Scott, Kevin, and the third man at Bash At The Beach.

June 24th, 1996: During a Harlem Heat vs. Steiners vs. Sting and Lex Luger triangle match for the WCW World tag team championship, Scott and Kevin came out of the stands with aluminum baseball bats. During the confusion, Booker T. rolled up Luger for the pin, but the Steiners and Luger and Sting were paying attention to Scott and Kevin. Police came out with guns to protect the wrestlers.

July 1st, 1996: Eric Bischoff returned to announcing for the first time since he was powerbombed by Kevin at the Great American Bash. He finally named one of the Outsiders--Nash--and said that everybody would be at the Bash. A minute later, Scott and Kevin came down through the stands with concession food--they bought tickets--and sat down to watch the rest of the show.

During the playing of a Rey Misterio Jr. highlight tape, Kevin and Scott started to make their way to the broadcast booth. Kevin got a mic and had some great quotes. Security tried unsuccessfully to restrain both. Sting, Luger, and Savage came out and Kevin made fun of "the clowns." The Giant, Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Hart, the Steiners, Big Bubba ROgers, and Diamond Dallas Page came out, and security tossed Kevin and Scott out of the arena. At the end of the show, they showed Scott and Kevin slowly walking back to an extremely nice black convertible (with the license plate 'RZR RMN') Scott and Kevin offered the cops coffee and donuts on the Outsiders, then left.

July 7th, 1996: At the Bash At The Beach, Kevin and Scott finally wrestled Sting, Luger, and Savage. Luger was injured early in the match, and Sting and Savage wrestled Scott and Kevin two-on-two. When Savage is knocked down on the inside, Hulk Hogan comes out....and legdrops Savage! Hogan is the third man! Hogan tosses the ref, then pins Savage as Scott counts the pin. People throw stuff at Hogan and Nash and Hall. A fan tries to come in, but Kevin nails him. Gene Okerlund goes to the ring and interviews Hulk.

OKERLUND: Hulk Hogan, what in the world are you thinking?

HULK: Mean Gene, the first thing that you need to do is to tell these people to shut up if you wanna hear what I gotta say.

OKERLUND: I have been with you for so many years....for you to join up with the likes of these two men absolutely makes me sick to my stomach and I think that these people here and a lot of other people around the world, have had just about enough of this man, this man,(pointing to Nash and Hall) and you want to put yourself in this group???? You've got to be....kidding me!!!!

HULK: Well, the first thing you've got to realize, brother, is this right here is the future of wrestling ( points to Nash and Hall). You can call this the New World Order of Wrestling, brother. These two men right here, came from this great big organization up north. Everbody was wanting to know who the third man was. Well, who knows more about that organization, brother?

OKERLUND: I've been there.....I've done that....You have made the wrong decision, in my opinion!

HULK: Let me tell you something! I MADE that organization a monster! I made people rich up there. I made the people that ran that organization rich up there, brother, and when it all came to pass, the name Hulk Hogan, the man Hulk Hogan, got bigger than the whole organization, brother! And then Billionaire Ted, Amigo...he wanted to "talk turkey" with Hulk Hogan. Billionaire Ted promised me movies, brother.... Billionaire Ted promised me millions of dollars, brother....and Billionaire Ted promised me world callibre matches. As far as Billionaire Ted, Eric Bishoff, and the whole WCW goes, I'm bored, brother!!!! That's why these two guys here, the so-called Outsiders...these are the men I want as my friends. They're the New Blood of professional wrestling, brother, and not only are we going to take over the whole wrestling business, with Hulk Hogan and the New Blood, the monster with me, we will destroy everything in our path, Mean Gene!

OKERLUND: Look at all of this crap in this ring! This is what's in the future for you if you want to hang around with the likes of this man, Hall, and this man, Nash.

HULK: As far as I'm concerned, all this crap in the ring represents the fans out here. For two years, brother, for two years, I held my head high...I did everything for the kids....the reception I got when I came out fans can stick it, brother, because if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, you people wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bishoff would still be selling meat from a truck in Minneapolis and if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, all these Johnny-Come-Lately's that you see out here wrestling, wouldn't be here. I was selling out the world, brother, while you were stealing gas to put in the car to get to high school, so the way that it is now, brother, with Hulk Hogan and the New World Organization of Wrestling, brother, me and the New Blood by my side.........whatcha gonna do when the New World Organization runs wild on you??????? Whatcha gonna do????? (He grabs Gene)

OKERLUND: Hey...don't touch me!!!! I've got a fleet of lawyers....Tony, Bobby, Dusty, ....... dammit......let's get back to you!!!!!!!

SCHIAVONE: All right.....we have seen the end of Hulkamania!!!!! For Bobby "the Brain" Heenan, Dusty Rhodes, Gene Okerlund, ........I don't know.....I'm Tony Schiavone, and, Hulk Hogan,....... YOU CAN GO TO HELL!!!!!!! STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!!!!!!!

July 8th, 1996: Interview with Kevin and Scott. Kevin said Hulk told the fans how it was. He said that Hulk would be here next week. Kevin said he felt like Mark Fuhrman at the Apollo. Scott started by saying "This portion of Monday Nitro is brought to you by the Outsiders and Hulk Hogan." Scott then said that we should be begging them to come inside. Kevin said Hulk was filming a movie, and Scott asked if Savage was jealous of Hogan's fame.

July 15th, 1996: During a Luger-Bubba match, Scott and Kevin jumped into the ring and attacked Luger, with Kevin powerbombed Luger before Hulk came out. Hulk pulled Bubba up, shook Bubba's hand, then Scott nailed Buba and tossed him out. In a following interview, Hulk said he wished he had done this two years ago. He said the NWO was taking over. He said he was bigger than wrestling. He said the NWO would rule the world. Hulk again told the fans to stick. Gene then told Hulk to stick it. Hulk said he shook Sting's hand ten years ago when he was a skinny weightlifter. He said he had heard Savage whinning for years. Hulk said that there would maybe be more people coming in to the NWO. Hulk said if the kids didn't want to follow him, who cares. Hulk said he was going to fight Giant at Hog Wild if Giant had the guts. He said if he won, the WCW belt would be turned into the NWO belt. People were throwing stuff into the ring. The Steiner Brothers, the Faces of Fear and Arn Anderson then came out and surrounded the ring. The Outsiders got some chairs, but nothing happened. Bischoff left the broadcast booth then Heenan started to freak out.

July 27th, 1996: The NWO had two paid spots on WCW Saturday Night. In the first, Kevin, Scott, and Hulk talked about what would happen at Hog Wild. In the second, Scott and Kevin showed a home movie of an attack in Cincinnati on Sting.

July 29th, 1996: The infamous attack in the back. During a six-man tag team match with Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, and Steve McMichael against Sting, Lex Luger, and Randy Savage, Jimmy Hart rushed down screaming, "I need help in the back. The Outsiders are here!" They went back and indeed they were there, with baseball bats. Scott and Kevin had already taken out Arn Anderson, who was clutching his wrist, and Marcus Alexander Bagwell, who was clutching his leg. Scotty Riggs ran out, but he got hit with a can to the head by Scott. Rey Misterio, Jr. came out of a nearby trailer, ascended to the top of the railing and jumped at Kevin, who caught him and hurled him like a dart headfirst into the side of the trailer. Everybody came from backstage, and Randy Savage went psycho and jumped on top of the limo. The limo then left with Randy on top. Alex Wright and Eddie Guerrero came out. Everyone fussed over everyone. A fire engine came in along with police. The Faces of Fear were out in street clothes. Rey kept mumbling "Cuatro..cuatro.."--meaning that there were four of them. They brought out stretchers, and Rey was put in a neck brace. Rey was yelling to Eddie that there were four guys. He said that he had to tell them. They took off Misterio's mask, but he kept his face covered. Alex went with Rey in the ambulance. Benoit and Woman were almost crying over Arn. Luger was over Riggs who had a neckbrace and on a stretcher.

August 5th, 1996: The NWO limo appeared twice, with Sting and Lex Luger going out to it both times. The first time, a black wreath was inside with the banner "Condolences on the death of WCW." The second time, as Sting opened the door, a bag was tossed out, a door slammed shut, and the limo sped off. Also, another NWO paid spot was aired, but halted by Sting and Luger, who went to the control room and forced it off.

August 10th, 1996: The Hog Wild PPV, also known as the greatest day in NWO history. First off, Scott and Kevin scored a victory over Sting and Lex Luger. As Sting had the Scorpion deathlock on Kevin on the outside, Luger was attempting to lock Scott in the torture rack, but as he swung around, Scott's legs hit referee Nick Patrick in the head, and as he went down, Patrick clipped Luger. Scott fell on top of Luger as Patrick appeared to fastcount Luger. Then in the main event, WCW World heavyweight champion The Giant pretty much manhandled Hulk, even Hulking up on him at one point! The Giant gave Hulk a boot to the head (shades of Hogan himself) as the Outsiders ran down, and were promptly chokeslammed one after the other by The Giant. But as he turned around, Giant was nailed in the head by Hulk with the World title belt, and was covered for the three-count. Hulk Hogan is your new WCW World heavyweight champion.

Post-match, The Booty Man, wearing an NWO shirt, came down with spraypaint and a birthday cake for Hulk, whose birthday was the next day. Hulk talked about how Booty Man was his best friend...then called for the Outsiders to attack him. After a short beating, Hulk punctuated it by hitting Booty Man with the belt. Then, as Scott held the belt, Hulk took the can of black spraypaint and painted "NWO" in big black letters on the World title belt, thus christening himself NWO World heavyweight champion.

August 12th, 1996: On Nitro, Sting and Luger challenged Scott and Kevin once again. They accepted, and the match took place. Near the end, after Sting had Stinger splashed Kevin, he tried to do the same to Scott, but Nick Patrick, the referee for that match, grabbed Scott's arm and pulled him out of the corner! Following this, the Horsemen barged out and chased out Scott and Kevin.

Before that, NWO World heavyweight champion Hulk Hogan came down to ringside during a Ric Flair-Randy Savage matchup. As Savage was about to piledrive Flair on the floor, Hulk took a chair and hit Savage in the back of the head, then bashed him over the head as Savage turned around, causing injuries that not only required six stitches, but also forced Savage out of his match three nights later against Meng at the Clash Of The Champions.

August 15th, 1996: At the Clash Of The Champions, during the triangle match with Sting and Luger vs. Harlem Heat vs. Rick and Scott Steiner, Scott and Kevin attacked Sting, Luger, Stevie Ray, and Rick Steiner on the outside as Scott Steiner and Booker T. were wrestling inside. Scott covered Booker T for the pin after a Frankensteiner, but Nick Patrick counted to two, then called for a disqualification, as supposedly he finally saw Scott and Kevin on the outside. In his first defense of the NWO World heavyweight title, Hulk was disqualified against Ric Flair. As Flair had Hulk in the figure-four leglock, Scott and Kevin jumped in and attacked Flair, causing the DQ. The other Horsemen, Sting, and Luger ran down and warded off the NWO.

August 26th, 1996: On WCW Monday Nitro, first off, during a Rey Misterio, Jr.-Mr. JL match, Hulk, Scott, and Kevin grabbed a cameraman and dragged him to the back, where they go to the production trailer and spraypaint "NWO" and "NWO 4 LIFE" all over. Then, during a Jim Duggan-Giant match, who shows up in the crowd...but Ted DiBiase! Ted sits down in the crowd, where he stays for the rest of the show. The camera points to him, and with one hand, he raises each finger one by one, stopping at four. He mouths to the camera, "Next week," and lifts up the thumb. Bischoff speculates that Ted'll join the Horsemen, but we all know better than THAT. :)

Finally, during the main event, Chris Benoit & Steve McMichael vs. Sting & Lex Luger, Hulk shows up at ringside and approaches McMichael, who backs Hulk up around the ring... until Scott and Kevin come out of the crowd and bonk McMichael with a spraypaint can, then bust "Mongo" open by whipping him into the ringpost, and Hulk follows by spraypainting "NWO" on McMichael's back. In the ring, Scott gives Benoit the Razor's Edge, followed by a powerbomb by Kevin on Sting; Hulk spraypaints "NWO" on both Benoit's and Sting's backs. Ric Flair and Arn Anderson charge the ring, with Flair going after Hulk and Arn going after both Kevin and Scott. Hulk spraypaints Flair in the eyes, then they roll out of the ring, and Hulk spraypaints a large streak of black in Flair's platinum blonde hair. The fans start throwing trash and drinks into the ring (and Kevin makes a nice catch on a drink :) Kevin flexes a la Luger, and Hulk and Scott cup their ears to the crowd. Hulk spraypaints "NWO" on the back of Kevin's shirt, and they leave and make their way to the broadcast booth. Bischoff runs, Kevin and Scott put on the headsets, and Hulk spraypaints "NWO" on the WCW Monday Nitro logo on the front of the desk.

September 2nd, 1996: On WCW Monday Nitro, Ted again showed up and sat down at ringside during a Harlem Heat-Greg Valentine/Buddy Valentino match, but left early this time. During a Giant-Brad Armstrong match, the limo showed up outside. The Four Horsemen went out to intercept it, but no one was inside. When Sting and Lex Luger chased referee Nick Patrick to the outside after a questionable call, Ted got into the limo. Sting threw a cinderblock through the window, and the limo drove away. Sting and Luger swiped a police car and went after them. During the main event, an eight-man tag team match between The Four Horsemen and The Dungeon of Doom, Hulk, Scott, and Kevin ran down and started cleaning house. The Giant showed up to save the day... and chokeslammed The Barbarian, then Meng! The Giant hugs Hulk, and we have a new member of the New World Order! Randy Savage runs out with a chair and hits Scott, Kevin, and Giant before Hulk grounds him. The NWO pummels Savage, punctuated by a Giant chokeslam and three Hulk legdrops. Hulk then spraypaints "NWO" in black on Savage's chest, then gets a can of yellow paint and paints a yellow streak down Savage's back. Kevin takes control of the broadcast booth, and the rest of the NWO follows. Hulk, Kevin, and Giant put the headsets on and start talking. Giant said that he had been called by Ted and he went down to Florida to see Hogan's house--25,000 sq ft, 20 Harley Davidsons, and 5 Mercedes. Hulk says that Giant can have it all, and that he got Giant his spot in the new Arnold Schwartzenegger film. Hulk tears off the Nitro sign and all of the NWO spit on it, then raised 8 fingers. The Horsemen and Dungeon regroup and come after the NWO and the brawl begins anew. The NWO again beat them off and go back to the booth. They then take the table and tear it down. The Faces of Fear carry off Savage, and Nitro ends a full nine minutes early.

September 9th, 1996: On WCW Monday Nitro, the NWO hired some teenagers to go through the crowd handing out NWO fliers, while they were outside in the rain sticking the fliers on the windows. An NWO t-shirt is now for sale for $20, plus $6 shipping & handling by calling 1-800-NWO-0242. During the Lex Luger-Rick Steiner match, Nick Patrick ran down and yelled to Luger that the NWO was outside. Luger ran to the back, where Ted was talking into the limo to a guy with a voice sounding like Sting's. Luger confronted Ted--who closed the door before he got there--about Sting's whereabouts. Ted played dumb..and Sting jumped out of the limo and started pounding on Luger! The rest of the NWO poured out of a second limo and started working over Luger. Luger came back and tossed the chauffeur as Ted and Hulk split up, with Ted going behind a U-Haul truck and Hulk back to the limos, which both drove away. Then during the Randy Savage-John Tenta match, Teddy Long came down and told Savage the limos were back. One limo picked up Ted and left, while one was deserted. A bunch of WCW wrestlers ran out and started spraypainting the limo.

September 14th, 1996: On WCW Saturday Night, as Lex Luger was in the ring, Giant, Scott, and Kevin ran outside to the arena parking lot, and literally beat the hell outta Luger's car. It was hilarious!

September 15th, 1996: Fall Brawl '96. First off, The Giant faced off against Randy Savage. As Savage was beating on Giant, Hulk came out and attacked Savage unsuccesfully. Referee Nick Patrick was distracted, and Kevin and Scott ran down and beat on Savage with a chair. Patrick saw nothing (as usual) and Giant won his inaugural NWO match by countout. Finally, in War Games, we started out with Scott vs. Arn Anderson, which went back and forth with Arn gaining the upper hand as the five minutes ran out. The NWO won the coin flip, and Ted sent in Kevin, who teamed with Scott and beat the crap out of Anderson, busting his head open and pounded him until Lex Luger came in. Luger began slamming Kevin and Scott repeatedly, but Kevin and Scott gained the upper hand for the last minute as Hulk came in. Luger and Anderson fought back as Anderson fought Scott, and Kevin and Hulk doubleteamed Luger. Ric Flair came in next for WCW, and as Scott and Kevin brawled with Luger and Anderson, Flair caught Hulk in a figure-four leglock. Next in, of course, was Sting for the NWO, who beat on Flair and Luger. Hulk started legdropping WCW people as Sting splashed someone. The last man in for WCW...was Sting! The NWO had an imposter Sting! Sting worked over all of the NWO, focusing on Hulk. Sting and Luger got in a scuffle, and Sting walked out, leaving WCW to face the NWO three-on-four. The NWO Sting locked the Scorpion deathlock on Luger, who passed out from the pain. Nick Patrick stopped the match, giving the New World Order the win in War Games! As the cage lifted up, the NWO continued beating on Luger, until Randy Savage came out and went after Hulk. Giant ran out and attacked Savage, and the NWO went four-on-one on Miss Elizabeth ran out to save Savage! Elizabeth begged Hulk to stop the beating as Giant repeatedly chokeslammed Savage. Elizabeth covered Savage to try and halt the attack, and Hulk spraypainted "NWO" on the back of Elizabeth's dress.

September 16th, 1996: WCW Monday Nitro, aka The Day After. :) As people entered the arena, teenagers hired by the NWO handed out fliers. A few minutes later, the cameras showed an NWO tailgate party outside the arena, celebrating the win in War Games the previous night. The same teenagers took over the souvenir stand, roping it off with police tape and setting up an NWO souvenir stand. As they returned, they panned to the crowd, where sitting front row was...Sean Waltman! Mike Tenay ran over to interview him following a match, and Sean said he had been in Japan, and would've been at War Games last night, but was on a plane. When informed who won War Games, he said "Oh, darn." with a smirk on his face. During the Ric Flair & Arn Anderson vs. Chris Jericho and Marcus Bagwell tag team match, Sean stood up, took out a remote control, and flipped a switch, causing NWO fliers to fall from the ceiling for the majority of the match. During the match, 'Mr. Jackknife' Eric Bischoff :) informed us that Ted had forced WCW to give the NWO its own show, to be announced in the weeks to come. They switched to the outside, where Hulk, Giant, Scott, Kevin, "Sting", and Sean were standing. Giant started a tape recorder, which had a tape of the speech Sting "gave" in the limo the previous week.

During the final match, Bischoff announced that the NWO had asked for Sean to be referred to as "Six." SIX?! :) They went back to the limo, where the NWO was watching Nitro. Sean said that he wanted to be at Nitro next week, because Randy Savage would be there (the only major star, actually--most of them would be in Japan :) and he was his favorite wrestler. Hulk said that he would get tickets, and maybe even backstage passes!

September 23rd, 1996:, WCW Monday Nitro. That morning, the NWO took out an ad in USA Today advertising NWO Monday Nitro, saying "While WCW's away, the NWO will play!" After the Randy Savage-Greg Valentine match, Scott, Kevin, Sean, and Giant came down for the mandatory weekly beating on the Macho Man. :) Scott gives Savage a Razor's Edge (officially called the "Death Drop" by Scott later on) followed by a powerbomb by Kevin. Giant gives Hulk a long-winded introduction, and Hulk comes down to a good-sized pop. Kevin whips Savage with a Slim Jim which Giant snaps into later. Hulk legdrops Savage, then sprays Savage's head with black spraypaint to cover his baldness. Scott and Kevin then run up to the broadcasting booth and almost attack Bischoff. The NWO has taken over Nitro! The rest of the NWO comes up, and they introduce Vince--the former Virgil, as NWO security chief. Vince keeps Bischoff in place as they go to a commercial.

When we return, Scott and Kevin announce that the NWO's taking over NASCAR, and out comes the NWO car! Kevin announces that they hired Kyle Petty to drive the NWO car. The next match is Jim Powers vs. V.K. Wallstreet, and Kevin and Scott "compliment" Powers on his size. Ted took over at the broadcast booth as Kevin and Scott went down and beat on Powers. Wallstreet left, and Giant, who was doing the ring announcing, went into the ring and had the first match on NWO Monday Nitro. Nick Patrick came out to referee, and Giant quickly chokeslammed Powers for the three-count.

Backstage, Hulk was spraypainting the walls NWO driver Kyle Petty joined the party, and talked about the race that weekend.

Finally, in the last announcement, Knobbs had on Nick's Tiger mask. Miss Elizabeth was there talking movies with Giant and Hulk. Vince brought in a present, which Giant opened, and judging by his reaction, the present was the NWO United States heavyweight championship belt. Randy Savage came running down the hallway and started roughing up Liz. He called her a son of a bitch two or three times and was complaining about their agreement.

October 7th, 1996:Back to Nitro. During a non-title Harlem Heat-Public Enemy bout, Kevin, Scott, Ted, Sean, and Vince were in the crowd, taunting Harlem Heat, with Kevin and Scott even wearing the Heat's characteristic Breathe-Rite nose strips. Things got interesting, as usual, during the Randy Savage-Ric Flair match..or what WOULD have been the Randy Savage-Ric Flair match. :) Flair never got to the ring, as he was being beaten by Hall, Nash, Giant, Sean, and Ted. Vince bossed the camera guy around and Sean had his own camera. Vince took Flair's US Title belt as Woman and Liz were back there but stayed away. Hulk came in and he and Giant took Liz out to the ring. Savage ran towards them but he got thrown into the guardrails, then beat on him with a chair. Elizabeth came over and tried to pull Hogan off Savage, but Hogan threw her off and asked her "What did she think that she was doing?!" He said he owned her. Giant then got Savage over his shoulders and carried him to the ring. When they got to the ring steps, Giant fell off with Savage tumbling too. Giant got pissed and threw the steps, then press slammed Savage into the ring. Giant set up Savage for a chokeslam while Hulk made Elizabeth watch, but Hulk stopped him before he chokeslammed him. Hulk told Giant to hold Liz as he then started beating up on Savage, legdropping him several times. Hulk then took the spray paint out of Giant's back pocket and did a tracing of Macho's body and an "NWO was here" sign on the canvas. Kevin and Scott came down to ringside. Hogan got on the microphone and said that he declared the relationship between Savage and Liz over. He said that he owned every part of Liz. Hulk said he thought they should destroy the announcing booth and out from the back comes the revamped NWO/Hulkster monster truck with Sean in it! It was just too sweet!
