Fushigi Yuugi is the story of a girl an her friend that get pulled into a book called "The Universe Of The Four Gods". While in the book the girls find themselves pitted agianst seemingly unbeatable odds and each other. Both girls fall in love with a male rescuer, but only one can keep him. Both girls are destined to become Mikos, or priestesses, to two of the four gods. While the Suzaku no Miko is adored by her Seishi,or star warriors. Seiryuu no Miko is fueled by hatred and would do anything for one of her seishi because of a debt she feels she owes him. In the in one has the guy and the other has the memories of what happened. As the opening song says "Welcome To Our Mysterious Play". Fushigi Yuugi was created by Yu Watase.
