Daniel DAVIDSON was born in Virginia about 1789. He married Mary ENOCHS daughter of Thomas ENOCHS and Nancy Ann BRYAN. Mary Enochs was born in Rowan Co., N.C. about 1790. Daniel and Mary were married about 1807. Daniel died 5 March 1865 in Carlisle, IN. Mary died 13 June 1881 in Carlisle, IN.

Daniel Davidson paid tax on himself in Sumner Co., Tenn. in 1811. Daniel and Mary ENOCHS DAVIDSON appear in Jefferson Co., Ky. with a land purchase about 1810, They have 3 children under the age of 10. In 1818 they sold their land and moved to Carlisle, Sullivan Co., Indiana. Family story says Daniel drove his oxen team through the Cumberland Gap to Ky.
