Y2K CRANKUP

With all the hype of Y2K, no one here was worried about the Old Iron starting up on New Years Day. At noon on January 1, 2000, I pulled out a couple of my hit n miss engines and cranked them up.

This year I started my 6 hp Hercules and my 1 3/4 hp Economy engines. This was the first year for the Hercules since it was just brought back to life in October of 1999.

I also got Kimmy's Maytag MOTOR out for her to start. Kim doesn't quite weigh enough to kick start it herself, so dad has to help a little with the downforce.

In honor of Dave Rotigel (whom Kim got to meet in "99"), she dressed in her official Maytag PPE (personal protective equipment).

The weather got into the 60's today, so Kim even got a little time on the swing set while the engines were running! (This was alot better than the snow and cold of the 1999 Crank Up).

See what we cranked up in 1999
