Maytag Model 92

This is a 1931 single cylinder Maytag Motor. It is a 2 cycle hit & Miss. This engine was given to my daughter Kim by Bob Rexing (a coworker of mine at PPG Industries) in 1999.

A motor such as this was used on washing machines produced by The Maytag Corporation of Newton, Iowa. As you can see the motor had a long exhaust hose. This was so the lady of the house could set the washing machine inside the kitchen and run the exhaust fumes to the outside.
