The much awaited four wheeler technical regulations for the year 1999 has been released by the FMSCI.  As a major step towards the running of a round of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship in the year 2000, the FMSCI decided to adopt almost verbatim, the General Prescriptions, Organising regulations and Standard Supplementary Regulations of the FIA Asia Pacific Championship.  It presupposes that the Technical Regulations of the FMSCI must be in line with that of the FIA, to enable our competitors compete with that of the world rallyists, when India host a round of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship in 2000.  This year there is bound to be a lot of controversies on the rules, one pray that the competitors and the organisers take them in the spirit of the game, like they did the last year, and keep the sport growing.
