The night of the dance was completely hectic. Alana had to do her hair, do her makeup, do everything and what made it worse was the way she treated Tay. Okay, maybe he did startle her, but they knew each other for so long he would never do something so extreme. Would he? He was probably just joking around. Once Alana was finished with everything she looked absolutely....stunning. She wore her dark wine colored short red dress, with red strappy heels, and her hair was up and looked quite elegant. Her makeup was done nicely so she didn't have too much on. And her lips were just a little tainted with red lipgloss. RRRRIIINNNGGG!!!!! "Hello?" asked the voice on the other line. "Hey Courtney it's me Alana." "Oh, hey, look sorry if I’m letting you down or whatever, but I can't go to the dance." She said in a disappointed yet evil voice. "What do you mean? How am I going to get to the dance or party afterwards?" Alana said. If she didn't go to the dance much less the party after she might be labeled GEEK!!! "What am I going to do?" she asked helplessly. "Well what I’m going to suggest to you is that you stay home too, no one will say that you're a geek. What I’m going to do is call up one of our many popular friends and tell her to tell everyone that you have to go see you're family back in California and will be back in 2 days, how does that sound good to you?" "Well, okay talk to ya later. Bye" "Bye" Courtney said with a smile on her face. She was all dressed up in a beautiful dark blue gown. Her hair was down and she looked nice. "I'm going to tell everyone that she has to stay in help her brother with little action figures," she thought. And she left to the dance. "God this totally sucks." Alana thought. Then she thought of Tay. 'Forget it he probably hates me now." Just then the doorbell rang. "Who is it?" It was Tay. "Hey sorry for being weird, I just wanted to fit in with you." "You seem so different, more grown up, I wanted to be like your friend." he said, a lot slower than he imagined. "Okay." she answered. 'So where's your date?" Tay asked shyly. "Oh I’m not going I don't have a ride to the party." "Well I’ll take you, you missed the dance, but not the party." "Okay thank you sooo much.' she answered nicely. "Okay lets go."
