Far From Reality

Tay, ignoring his older brother stayed behind and shut the door after them. He walked up to Renee, turned off her headset, put it on her dresser, covered her up, and kissed her on the lips. Then, he started kissing her deeper and deeper, but then stopped hoping not to wake her. He then went up to Ali and did the same thing. He didn’t care if they woke up, although he’d be really embarrassed, but he loved them very much, and besides it would be the only chance he would get right now b/c of their boyfriends, Isaac, and Zac.

After he was finished kissing Ali he just walked to the door, and turned back. He just stared at them, and how beautiful they looked. If he ever had to pick between them, he wouldn’t know what to do. He thought, It’s probably good that they don’t like me, and they have boyfriends, cuz I can’t decide between them. If I could go out with both of them, I would.

After Tay left the room and shut the door, both Renee and Ali sat up, and looked at each other, grinning. They had been awake that whole time, and could hear everything that was going on.

"I can’t believe what just happened!" Renee exclaimed.

"Now we know that he likes both of us, and couldn’t pick between us, even though we kind of knew that all along!" Ali said.

"Yeah, he’s sooo dreamy!" Renee said pretending to faint, Ali laughing at her.

Outside of the room, Tay had heard some moving around in there when he left so he put his ear up to the door. He had heard everything, and smiled. He moved closer to the door to hear more when all of a sudden, his weight made the door open, and he fell onto the ground right in front of Ali and Renee. They looked down at him, with weird looks on their faces, and it was silent for a while.

"Uh, sorry," he said, his face turning red. He got up and ran out of the room shutting the door behind him. The girls just looked at each other and started giggling.

Taylor ran into the bathroom, shut the door, and banged his head on the wall.

"God, I’m so stupid!" he said to himself.

"Carolina. Sit down. Let your mother talk." Her father began to get angry, and slowly, Carolina came back down to her seat. She looked at her watch. Tyler should be here already. Tyler was Carolina's boyfriend for two years. They met in school, and started dating two weeks after they met. She loved Tyler a lot. Lately things had been going real well. He played hockey, and gave it a 100% commitment. He was either gone to games, at practice or in the emergency room.

"You have one week to pack up. Then we're going back to Tulsa. We'll be staying there until things clear up."
Carolina closed her eyes, trying to convince herself that this was all a dream. But no, this was all real. She wanted to hide under the table and die.

"Now, I know you don't get along with Taylor. I know that's what you're thinking. But, you have such a good relationship with Isaac and Zac. You three are inseparable but, you're going to have to adjust. He's a very sweet, young man."
"Mom, I don't care. You can forget it. I can't believe this! You're asking me to leave my life behind, my friends, my school," thankfully, the doorbell rang. Tyler was here," and you're asking me to leave him?" She stood up, gesturing towards the front door. She walked over to the hall closet and grabbed her jacket.

"Carolina! You're not staying out late this time! Do you understand me?" Her father's screams echoed through the hall as she walked to the front door.

"I'll be home when I feel like coming home."

Family Ties

"Gotcha!" He said in a whisper. Seraphina smiled, a little surprised at the encounter. She stared into his eyes; They seemed so content. Her expression quickly changed when she realized how he was looking at her.

She opened her mouth to say something but then suddenly realized she couldn't speak.

"My, you have awfully pretty eyes." He said, taking his fingertips and brushing a piece of hair out of her face.

Seraphina looked down, a little uncomfortable at how he was acting.

He smiled, walking up closer to her. He looked back into her eyes. "Do you mind if I kiss you?" He said after a short pause. His eyes looked as icy-blue as ever, almost as if they had changed color. Seraphina didn't reply, but Tavorian moved in closer. He moved down to her neck, planting kisses up and down it. Seraphina stood there, frozen. All she could see of Tavorian was the silhouette of his body in the moonlight. As he continued to kiss her neck, Seraphina could hear the distant rumble of thunder beyond the hills. She looked down just in time to see his deep eyes staring back at her. They looked different, like they had become translucent. She felt a chill run up and down her spine as he began to kiss her neck again. Just as she was about to push away, her thoughts were interrupted by a single raindrop landing on her forehead. Before she could think anymore, the light drops of rain suddenly turned into a fierce shower, soaking the two as they stood there in the garden. Tavorian shook suddenly and looked up at her. His eyes appeared to be normal again, and Sera almost thought that she had imagined the whole thing.

Book One: Never Be the Same Again

She suddenly transformed back making my throat clog up with fear and my mouth turn dry. She was somewhat pretty, in an exotic way, but the thought and shear terror of her sharp teeth cutting against my throat frightened the hell out of me. I swallowed trying to find the right words to tell her. Isabella scooted closer to me and took my tied hands in hers. Before I could answer her blood red lips were on mine and I flinched back in fear of getting cut by her teeth. But then I relaxed as if she were telling me that everything was going to be ok. She was definitely sending me mixed emotions. I couldn’t decide if she was playing with me or she really meant that kiss. When our lips parted I looked at her confused and horrified at the sight of her once again transformed face. I followed her gaze down to my red buttoned shirt. With her fingernail she sliced the buttons off all of the way down to the end of my shirt revealing the white wife beater underneath. I couldn’t move or even breathe for fear of what she may do to me next. Then she moved onto my hands that still remained tied together. With her claw-like fingertips she cut straight through the ropes and let them fall to the floor. I let out a sigh of relief while rubbing the rope burns around my wrists.

"I don’t think you need those anymore."

She stood up and walked to the door.

The New Kid

I scratched at his face, and was then able to look up. I saw Taylor and another wolf wrestling over by the locker room, but I didn't I have time to look long because Eric scratched me back. I bit at his shoulder making his crimson blood leak onto the gym floor. He tried to fight to get up, but I took one more slash to his throat, and that one did it. He didn't squirm anymore, it morphed back into it's normal self, and I started feeling dizzy. I looked around for the other two, but they were no where. I dizzily made my way to the locker rooms where I had seen them last. I knew I was losing power and strength when I suddenly collapsed in one of the shower stalls hearing the shouts and howls of the winner wolf as everything around me went dark.

Takeover

Claudia cautiously climbed on the roof of Zac’s prison, and she lay down on the tiles. She watched as the soldiers marched down the street causing the pounding noses. She wondered if they were going to war or something. This scared her, and she crawled back down to Zac.

"There are soldiers marching in the streets. I don’t know what’s going on. They’ve already evacuated all of the surrounding houses and buildings. I don’t know what they’re doing." Claudia explained.

"I guess we’ll find out," Zac replied.

Suddenly sirens rang out all through out the base waking up all of the prisoners, and making soldiers run to their places.

"What’s going on?" Taylor stood up by the window.

"I don’t know," Claudia told him.

She stood up on the ledge and held the shingles on the roof so she could see what was going on in the base’s courtyard. In the distance she heard a low hum of motorcycles and tanks.

While looking at the lost expression on her face, Taylor begun to piece some things together. He knew why he had fallen for her… that day they had met, he felt like he was in control. It felt great to cheer her up and actually have her listen to him. He knew then why his feelings for her had begun to slip. Their relationship had done a complete 180, and Taylor felt trapped underneath her. Everything that was to be decided in their relationship, Ryley decided it. It wasn't like that first day, or the beginning of the relationship, when Ryley made Taylor feel important. It was now to the point where Ryley felt that she could control him… and he despised this.

This time Gabrielle landed on the bottom, her hair spread out around her like a weeping willow’s branches. The soft white delicate petals fell in her hair as she laid there gazing yet again into Taylor’s magnificent blue eyes. Her heart beat rapidly as she then gazed at his beautiful red lips. The next thing she knew, Taylor had bent down and those red lips were on hers. She gave a soft cry at first not expecting that but Taylor took her hand to reassure her. Softly and romantically they kissed. This time Taylor was going to try a deeper kiss. Gathering up his courage, he parted her lips with his tongue, and it gently entered her mouth exploring a world totally unconquered. She found his tongue and they danced in circles playfully. Gabrielle let go of Taylor’s hand as both of her arms wrapped around his body embracing him and making his body lay closer to hers.

I pushed the pedal down to the floor wishing that this stupid Chrysler would go a little faster than it was.

"Where are we going?" Taylor asked me curiously.

"To Sunshine Boulevard. I do have a job to do you know." I explained. "As soon as I hook back up with Star you can go home."

I glanced at Taylor. He seemed to look hurt that I told him he couldn’t stay with me.

"Listen Taylor. What we do is dangerous and you could get into serious trouble. You shouldn’t risk that since you’re a big time celebrity now," I said sincerely.

"I know, but I feel bad. Do you think I could see you again?" he asked me.

I was surprised actually. I grinned. "Sure I couldn’t see why not."

"Great."
