Jonathen Wayne Lucas was born to my daughter Kathy and her husband Jason on Sunday, February 13, 2000, at 1:51 p.m. European time at the United States Army base in Wertzburg, Germany. He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20" long. Mommy, Daddy and Baby are doing great. I am so proud to welcome the newest 'LITTLE GRAPE STOMPER' into our family.

The Iuliano Family reunion was a reality for 1999! The date was Saturday, August 7, 1999 at Cop'er Canyon, in Bristol, IN. It was an all day affair and started about 11:00 a.m..
The Iuliano Family Reunion of 1999, the first for quite awhile, was a great time for all. We had Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, from New York, Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Maryland and I’m sure some other states I missed. People who haven’t gotten together for quite some time. Some haven’t seen each other for many years; we all had such a great time. Mark brought some very good homemade Merlot and my homemade wine brought back memories of Grandpa’s for all who tasted it. I’m sure he was there with us, having a glass of wine and telling stories just like the old days.

Mark won “The Peoples Choice Award” cooking contest for his baked macaroni dish. This isn’t the first cooking contest he’s won. Guess that Home Ec. Class in high school really paid off or it could be natural born Italian talent!

The “Judges Only Cooking Award” went to (Aunt) Alice Demske for her Italian salad, (Aunt) Marie Lese for her lemon cake AND her lasagna. Everything was very delicious; the judges had their work cut out for them. Some member of the contest even tried to bribe the judges with a measly dollar each! They kept the dollar and still voted with their taste buds.

The memory story time was great and I was surprised that some of the younger people had stories and memories to tell. It was nice to realize that the younger generation really do know and care about the family history.

There were 19 pictures in the photo contest. It was tough for the 2nd and 3rd generation to figure out, but everyone had fun trying. There was a tie between Kathy Iuliano and D’Andre Christian. They both did an excellent job guessing 11 correctly.

We missed some very important people like Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Rita. We hope and pray that her health improves and we missed them both very much. Also we missed Jackie, Annie and their families. We hope to see you soon. David was missing in person, but some of his photos were on display, as no one in the family has an eye for art better then David. I know I haven’t mentioned everyone, but be assured, that you all are important to me and to the family. Each one of you has an important role in the Iuliano family.

I want to send special thanks to Sandra. She worked hard on organizing this entire event, but she wants everyone to know that it was a success because everyone participated. Sandra said, “I just came up with the idea, picked a date, and everything else just fell into place.” The cookbooks that she put together came out great and thanks to all who sent in recipes. It should keep all of us busy trying new things for many years to come.

Patti and Debbie did a great job with the kids’ games and Tommy got the adults involved with some too!

Again I want to say it was great to see you all and I hope we can keep in touch either by U.S. Mail, E-Mail or telephone. Love to all, Michael
