FX: The Series does not belong to me, and I'm in no way profiting financially from this story. It is written purely for my own entertainment and for the entertainment of others. FX is a Fireworks Entertainment Inc. and Winterset Productions Inc. production also produced in association with Rysher Entertainment and Hallmark Entertainment. The show is also based on the movie FX an Orion Picture Corporation.

This just a short little 'scene' that I was somewhat inspired to write. I got the idea from an old MacGyver episode, another really good show that also does not belong to me. Maybe I'll own a good show one day (a girl can dream can't she). Anyway, enjoy.

Explosion By Erin Bickers

Rollie was putting the last touches of make-up on the Alien sitting in front of him when an explosion rocked the set. Angie! he thought, she had spent the morning setting up some of the pyrotechnics required for the afternoon's stunts. It was something that he usually preferred to do himself but he had had to do the make-up instead.

Angie opened her eyes and shook her head. Wow, that was an explosion and a half. She sat up and realised that she didn't hurt at all. That was odd, the blast had thrown her back a few meters before unceremoniously dumping her on the ground, on her back. She got to her feet and turned to walk back to the trailers, Rollie was going to be pretty mad about this one. She saw Rollie running towards her, he called out, "Angie!"

She began to reply, "I'm OK Rollie, just a bit..." But Rollie ran straight past her. She turned to see when he went and saw someone lying on the ground.

Rollie crouched over the still figure, "Angie! Talk to me. Oh, God, please be OK." She slowly walked up to them, and with a start she realised that it was her lying on the ground. She was watching Rollie cradle her own body - how did that work she was here, and there.

Suddenly she heard a voice beside her, it sounded familiar, but different somehow. She turned, it was Manny Rameriz, "Hi Angel."

"Dad! What are you doing here? And don't call me that." She backed away from him as the implications began to dawn on her.

"Hey, kiddo. Relax, you're not dead yet, remember I used to call you Angel a lot. Anyway, you have a choice. You can go back, or you can come with me."

She heard a second voice, on the other side of her, again it was familiar but different. She turned, this time it was Leo McCarthy. "Hey Ange."

"Leo! You're here too, why?"

"Like your Dad said. You gotta choose. I'm here to help you make your decision, just like your Dad is."

She turned back to Rollie and… herself. The medics had arrived by then and they were making quite a fuss. Apparently she had gone into Cardiac arrest and they were doing CPR on her. Rollie was standing a couple of meters away, just far enough away to not be in the medics way. He had gone deathly white and was quietly mouthing the same phrase over and over again.

"No, I can't loose you too, not like this. Don't go, please Ange." She looked at him and realised just how much she meant to him, and what it would do to him to loose her.

To Angie the decision was easy. She turned back to the two angelic men, "Dad, Leo, I have to stay. He needs me, I can't leave him on his own, look at him, he's a mess. Too many have died already." They both nodded and began to fade away. She called out to her father, "I love you Dad, and miss you..."

He replied before he completely faded away, "I know Angel, I love you too." And then he was gone.

Leo lingered a little longer, "Say Hi to Rollie and Francis for me. I've been keeping an eye on you all."

Angie smiled at that, somehow she had known that was true for the months that had passed since Leo had died. "Sure Leo, I'll tell them both." And with that both Leo and Angie disappeared.

_______________

Angie woke up in the Hospital, desperately dragging air into her lungs, gasping. She had never hurt so much her life, it felt like every muscle in her body had taken a beating, and then been run over by a steamroller. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up at a sea of faces surrounding her, searching for the most familiar face. "Rollie..." she croaked.

Rollie's face appeared in her field of vision. "Hey Ange, it's OK. You're gonna be alright." He took her hand in his.

"Rollie...", she took another deep breath. "Rollie, Leo says Hi, tell Francis too." She smiled at his confused expression before surrendering again to the sleep that her body needed.
