Welcome to the buckle of the rust belt: Valparaiso Indiana

This mural has been here since 1983... b.c.e.... No one knows how it got here or how the artist had the vision of trains... but our understanding is limited by our small human capacities for the unknown.

Wark's Hardware is actually an antique store. Not intentionally, unfortunately. Mr. Wark himself is quite old too. I couldn't get a picture because he tried to steal my soul.

Valparaiso really looks like a bustling metropolis sometimes. This isn't one of those times.

This is our town courthouse. It burnt down once. I think the past residence couldn't take the hint and stayed in Valparaiso anyway.

This is the Valparaiso Antique Mall, where I work on weekends during my breaks. It's a really nice place. I think the people are the best part of the job.
