We got off to a very rough start this past year, but as the season progressed our
team improved a lot and became much more confident. These scores represent how our

Our Tennis Record for the 1997 season-
Reitz 0, Castle 5 (we got killed, no one was ready for this match!)
Reitz 0, North 5 (we had some very close matches at #1 and #2 singles)
Reitz 0, Memorial 5 (this is one of the top schools in the area)
Reitz 0, Harrison 5 (all I can say is "Ouch!)
Reitz 1, Mater Dei 4 (we had some close doubles matches here, #2 singles won)
Reitz 1, Central 4 (very close matches here that could've gone either way)
Gib. Southern Invitational (team placed in 2nd, #1 singles finished in first place)
Reitz 5, Tecumseh 0 (the very first 5-0 victory in Reitz Tennis History!)
Reitz 3, Princeton 2 (we are on a hot streak now!)
Reitz 4, Bosse 1 (only lost our #2 doubles match)
Reitz 3, N. Posey 2 (lost both doubles, but all three singles won)
Reitz 3, Day School 2 (we were the underdogs going in to this one, but pulled off the upset)
Reitz 1, Mt. Vernon 4 (#1 singles was our only victory here, in 3 sets)
Reitz 1, S. Spencer 1 (we were going to win, but got only 2 matches in before it rained)
SECTIONALS
Reitz 2, Central 3 (#1 and #3 singles won, but our #2 singles player lost to the guy he beat
earlier this year, but #1 singles advances to regionals)
REGIONALS
First Round, Bye
Second Round, #1 Singles lost to Ethan Davis from Sullivan, Indiana 6-0, 6-3
