Yoda, a Jedi Master, former member of the Jedi
Council, has trained Jedi for nearly 900 years.
His wisdom, skill, and training experience help
a young Luke Skywalker learn the mysterious ways
of the force. His leadership was a guiding force in the now extinct
Jedi Council. After Vader's purge, Yoda retreated to the Dagobah
system, where he remained until his death. It is in his efforts
that the Jedi Knights were reborn with Luke. Yoda is known for
such statements as, "Do. Or do not. There is no try."
