I now have a Traxxas RUSTLER. The RUSTLER was bought for me as a Christmas present from my Mother. I have equipped it w/full ball bearings, new tires, springs, and a Novak ESC. I plan to put a Trinity Speed Gem 2 Sapphire motor in it real soon. I'll keep you up to date. Right now it is basically all stock except for the bearings, springs, tires, and ESC. I personally built the truck from scratch. I purchased the items that come with a RTR RUSTLER, but I felt the need to put it together myself for several reasons. I was told by a local R/C veteran that TRAXXAS RTR models all come under-geared. This worried me at the time because I seem to have a little trouble taking things apart after I put them together. Another reason that I bought it un-assembled was that I can assure myself that the truck was put together correctly and that all of the screws were tightened correctly, etc.(No offense to TRAXXAS.I love your trucks guys). I got new gears and installed them in the process of building the differential case. The rest of the assembly process was a snap! Putting on the ESC was very easy too! This enabled me to have less wiring, no resistor weighting down the truck, and a very sleek look. The truck runs very smooth, and I am very happy with my purchase of a TRAXXAS model. GO TRAXXAS!!!!
I have recently traded my NITRO HAWK and RC10 for an older KYOSHO SANDMASTER ST2. THE TRUCK CAME READY TO RUN with an O.S. MAX .10 engine and a HITEC CHALLENGER pistol grip radio. This is my first gas truck and I think it is really fun. With a little help from a friend who knows gas vehicles,we tuned the truck and it is running strong. I just recieved an older, but very slightly used DYNAMITE .12 engine. I have installed this on the SANDMASTER and it really flys now. I also recently painted the unpainted body that came with it. I chose JOHN DEERE GREEN paint, and I have added yellow wheels and a huge computer generated JOHN DEERE logo graphic.
I plan to have pictures of my two trucks and my new car really soon. Please send me some of your pics too! I know how to put the pics on here its just that I need some to put on here first. Please help me out. Also, if you would like to post any buys, sells, or trades feel free to email me and I will post them. (That is what this page is all about.)
