The Scouts and Tuxedo awoke to find themselves sitting in a festively decorated room, Malachite was missing. Before they could take in any more of their surroundings, Malachite enteredm walked to the front, turned, and faced them. He was wearing a white tuxedo and his usual cape.
"I'm so happy that you could be here on this joyous occasion," he said.
"What the he...AHHH!" Tuxedo screamed as a pulse of electricity shot through him as he went to stand; the jolt was enough to painfully force him back into his seat.
"You'll see, just be patient," Malachite chuckled evilly. Suddenly his eyes grew large and a smile of pure joy crossed his lips, "Ah, my princess enters."
Selenite slowly made her way down the ilse way. She was breathtakenly beautiful; dressed in a long white flowing wedding gown. Flowers were woven into the hair the hung down from the bob atop her head.
All the Scouts went to make objecting comments, but the words became caught in their throats, rendering them unable to speak.
"Can't have you objecting now can we," Malachite asked them telepathically.
It took all of Jupiter's concentration and strength to utter, "Malachite, you slime!" The next sound that filled the room was her agonizing pain filled scream as her body was taken over by the same jolt that had gone through Tuxedo just moments before.
Selenite looked back at Jupiter with a small smile of satisfaction. But the smile soon changed into a blank stare as an image of a girl, who resembled Jupiter, took the place of the sight of the screaming girl. Selenite quickly shook her head and dismissed the image as wedding-day-jitters.
"Anything wrong, my dearest," Malachite asked after seeing the look on the young girl's face.
"I'm fine, just seeing things. It's probably a result of the last battle."
The lights in the room dimmed as Queen Beryl appeared before them. She cast the Scouts a triumphant evil look, "Ah, I see that everyone is here, very good. Let the ceremony begin."
Mercury silently struggled to move her hand up to activate her visor; having successfully completing her task, she let her hand full back to her side. "This is going to take forever," she thought to herself, "I still need to change the settings on this in order to figure out what type of energy is holding us."
While Mercury had been activating her visor, Beryl had begun to conduct the ceremony. "It is with great honor that these two stand before you. Their intentions are to wed; become eternal parteners in all endeavors. I, as their Queen and master, have given them my blessings..."
Mercury had once again resumed her mission yo scan the energy around them. She finally clicked her visor to the right frequency, but the data was coming faster than she could read.
As Mercury set to her new task of decoding the data, Beryl continued, "Malachite, do you vow to keep Selenite as your only partener and to protect her from any who my raise a hand against her?"
"I will," Malachite said looking into Selenite's eyes with adoration.
"Selenite, do you take Malachite to be your eternal partener and listen to and follow all of his commands as if they came from me?"
"Oh please, Serena, don't go through with this," Tuxedo silently prayed.
Selenite looked back at the Scouts and then fixed her sight upon Tuxedo Mask. An image of a young man flooded into her thoughts, he was dressed identical to Tuxedo Mask. The man in her vision out stretched his hand, inviting her to dance with him.
"Selenite, are you sure you're okay," Malachite asked, interupting her vision.
She batted her eyes a couple times to shake off the picture that still lingered in her mind. "Yes," she whispered, "I'm alright."
"What's your answer, Selenite, will you take Malachite as your partener," Beryl asked imapatiently.
Selenite turned her eyes to Malachite and smiled, "I do take you as my partener, Malachite. I love you."
Malachite and Selenite made a move to seal their vows with a kiss when Mercury shouted, " I got it!!!"
