August 29
August 29th, The Titans traveled to Centerville To play the Bulldogs. It looked as though the Bulldogs run and shoot offense might give the Titans some trouble at first, but the Titans scored first and never looked back, streaking to a 34-12 victory with the running abilities of Chad Bever and leadership cababilities of Quarterback Clint Thompson. This was the Titans first conference victory, with a 2-0 record overall. The Titans play at home this friday against the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles. The Titans margin of victory over the Eagles in the past three years has been well over 50 points per game. The Eagles, however have a 2-0 record thus far.
September 5

The Titans played the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles last Friday. The Titans came into this game expecting the Eagles to want revenge, Since the Eagles have not beat the Titans since 1986. This was by far the most exciting and tough game this year for Tri. Tri and Lincoln played every down with a vengence. The game ultimately came down to Eagle turnovers. Tri capitalized on fumbles and interceptions, turning them into game winning points. The final score was Tri-24 Lincoln-16. The Titans power running again came from Chad Bever and Brent Carpenter. Tri High plays again this Friday at home against The Union City Indians. The Titans are now 2-0 in the Tri Eastern conference and 3-0 overall.

September 26
If you were a Titans fan, It was a very hard game to watch Friday night, as the 7th ranked Tigers Ran and Passed all over a once proud Titan team enroute to a 38-8 victory for Hagerstown. Although the season is not lost by no means, This was a painful loss. This was The Tigers homecoming and were looking to defeat the Titans, because the Titans had a 2 game winning streak against the Tigers. This sets the stage for the Titans to take on Unbeaten Knightstown next week. Tri is now 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the TEC conference. Hagerstown is 4-0 in the TEC.
October 3
The biggest game of the year ended in disappointment for the Titan Players and Titan Fans, as the second ranked Knightstown Panthers handed Tri High their 2nd loss of the season. This County Rivalry drew state attention, as "Operation Football" brought Chopper 13 to cover the game. although The Titans did score a lone touchdown, It was the Panthers who stole the show. The Titans play again on October 10th against the Winchester Falcons. The Titans are now ranked 8th in the state, while the Falcons are unranked.
October 10
For the First time this year, I was unable to attend the October 10th game between the Winchester Falcons and The Tri High Titans. I did however send a reporter. The Titans blew into Winchester with a bad taste in their mouths from losing to Hagerstown and Knightstown the past two weeks. They released their agression on the lowly Falcons. The Final score in this romp was 41-6. The Titans play the last game of the regular season on Oct. 17th against the Union County Patriots. This is a home game, So I will be at the game. It was a great night for football On October 17th, It was cold and clear, but luckily no snow. This game against the Patriots was the Titans last home game of the regular season. Union County scored the first 3 points of the game on a short field goal after the Titan Defense stopped them on 3rd and goal. The game stayed close until late in the fourth quarter when Tri's defense stiffened. The Final score was 26-15. It was senior night and the seniors played like it, with Chad Bever having long runs. END REGULAR SEASON
BEGIN SECTIONAL
October 24
The beginning of Sectional play for the Titans was a success for the team as they fought hard against the Shenandoah Raiders and came away with a 26-6 victory. It was cold in the stands but not on the field as the Titans running game was red hot. Wes Coffman and Brent Carpenter had long runs. The stands at Titan Field were not that crowded as only the Die hard fans came out due to the threat of rain. The Titans are now 8-2. they play Frankton at Frankton next Friday. The Titans have not played Frankton in recent history. Will this be the last game of the year for the Tri Titans? Come back next week and Find out!
