Fifteen year old, Angiewas sitting on the couch, in the lounge of her father's FX studio, doing homework with a friend, Jerry Hendricks.
Her father was on a business trip in London meeting a producer. He had put his assistant Rollie Tyler in charge of watching Angie. Rollie was out doing some errands, which left Angie and Jerry alone.
Angie knew if Rollie or her father, knew she had a boy over when they weren't around she'd get groundedx for life, but she didn't really care. It wasn't like they were doing anything besides homework.
"I'm bored." Jerry wxclaimed, shutting his Algebra book with a thud. Angie didn't say anything. Just kept working on her homework. "Let's do something else."
"Okay. I guess it wouldn't hurt taking a little break." Angie replied, putting her Chemistry book down. "I'll go get us some snacks."
"No." Jerry said, grabbing her wrist as she stood up and pulled her back down to the couch.
Before Angie knew what was happening, Jerry leaned forward and started kissing her.
Not reasy for that, Angie pushed him away.
"What?" Jerry asked, hands still on her waist.
"Don't." Angie told him.
Jerry didn't listen. He leaned in again and started to kiss her again. His hands moved up under her shirt. He pushed her back, and was now on top of her.
Angie started kicking. She tried screaming. Nothing worked. He was too big.
------------
Rollie pulled up infront of Ramirez FX and entered the building.
First thing his senses noticed was hearing Angie's muffled screaming. He moved over to the lounge. When he saw what was happening, he quickly rushed over, and grabbed the kid by the back of his shirt collar, and threw him off a hysterical Angie.
"What do you bloody think your doing?!" Rollie yelled at the kid, still having a good grip on the kid's shirt collar. Without waiting for a reply, Rollie drug the kid over to the door. Runching him in the face, Rollie then literally throw him out of the shop, slamming the door after him.
He then ran back to where Angie was still sitting on the couch crying, clutching at her shirt that Jerry ripped.
"Angie? Did he hurt you? You okay?" Rollie asked, sitting down on the couch next to her.
She just nodded her head, and ran up the stairs. Rollie stayed behind, deciding to give her some time to her self. Then he'd go and see how she was. Right now, Rollie started to pick up the school books, throwing Jerry's school books in the trash.
After about two hours, Rollie made a sandwich for Angie and took it up to her.
She was laying on her side, with the lights turned off, in the room Manny built for her when he had to work here late. The loft was too small for Manny and Angie to live there, so he just built one room for Angie to stay in when he'd be working late, so she wouldn't have to stay home alone.
"Angie?" Rollie called out, turning the lights on. "I brought you something to eat."
"I'm not hungry." Angie replied, as he sat at the end off the bed. She was now wearing one of her father's shirts that he left there.
"Okay. I'll just leave it here then in case you get hungry later." Rollied told her, sitting the sandwich on the night stand. He then turned to leave.
"Rollie?" Angie called out, when he was half way to the door.
"What?" He asked, turned back around, walking towards her.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome." He replied, knowing she meant for getting rid of Jerry. He then bent down and kissed her on the forehead.
"What's going on here?" A voice at the door called out. It was Manny, back from his trip a couple days early. He had heard his young daughter thank his assistant. And he saw the kiss on the forehead. And he also saw it looked like Angie had been crying, and she was wearing one of his shirts.
"Um....Well....." Rollie stuttered, not sure what Angie wanted to tell Manny about what happened a couple hours before.
"Daddy! I just don't feel good. Rollie was just bringing me something to eat." Angie told her father. She glanced over at Rollie, giving him a look that said, "Don't tell him."
"Yeah." Rollie said, deciding for the moment to be quiet about earlier.
Manny looked between Rollie and Angie. He could tell they weren't telling him something. They had tried fooling him before on a few things in the past and he always could tell when they were. Right now, he'd go along with what they were saying, but he knew eventually the truth would come out.
A couple days had passed without anymore of that incident coming up. Angie hadn't had anymore problems with Jerry. Manny hadn't asked anymore about that day, even though he still had a feeling something more than they were telling happened.
"Rollie I need to talk to you." Manny said, after getting off the phone with some upset parents.
"Sure." Rollie said, dropping his work and walking over ot where Manny was walking to the lounge. "What is it?"
"I just got off the phone with Jerry Hendricks parents. Their son is a classmate of Angie's. Jerry came home the other day with a black eye and bruises all over. He claims you beat him up for no reason." Manny told his assistant.
"What?! That's a lie!" Rollie exclaimed.
"So, your saying you didn't beat him up?"
"Well, no. I did beat him up. But i had a bloody good reason for doing so."
"And what was that?" Manny asked.
"Um..... I can't say." Rollie told his boss. Even if not telling meant for him to get in trouble over this, he didn't care. He wasn't going to say anything to Manny till Angie was ready to do it.
At that moment Angie walked in, back from school. She walked cheerfully over to where Rollie and Manny sat. "What's going on?" She asked, seeing their grim expressions.
"Rollie's been accused of beating up one of your friends. Jerry Hendricks. He says Rollie did so with no reason." Manny told his daughter.
"But that's not true! Rollie had perfect reason for doing so!" Angie exclaimed dropping her books.
"Oh? And why is that?" Manny asked, feeling this thing with young Jerry Hendricks, was the secret Rollie and Angie were keeping from him.
Angie looked at her father then at Rollie. "Daddy can I talk to you? Alone?"
"I'll just go upstairs and let you two talk." Rollie said, getting up. As he passed he gave her hand a encouraging squeeze.
As he reached the top of the stairs, Rollie heard Angie start to tell her father what happened with Jerry.
About an hour or more later, laying on the bed half asleep, Rollie heard the door open slightly. Lifting his head he saw Angie standing at the door.
"Rollie?"
"Yeah, Angie?" Rollie said, sitting up.
"I told my dad about what happened the other day." Angie told him, moving to sit down next to him. "He's calling Jerry's parents now. He says we'll get this all straightened out."
"Okay. You know you didn't have to tell him. I could've dealt with it without you telling." Rollie told her.
"I had to tell. I just couldn't let you go to jail or anything, for helping me." Angie replied.
"Well, thanks." Rollie told her, giving her a hug. Down stairs they heard Manny yelling into the phone.
