How Do I Go About Shipping Your Kitty To You?

Step 1 - Send me a check for the price of the kitty, and $250.00 for shipping. Make the check out to Pam Jones. Also, print out a copy of my sales contract. Fill in your name, address, phone number, and email address on the front page. Sign your signature on the last page. Send this contract to me with your check. My mailing address is: Pam Jones P.O. Box 13 Oaktown, IN 47561

Step 2 - AFTER THE CHECK CLEARS (You can send me a registered check if you want this process to be quicker.), I will start making arrangements for your kitty to be shipped to you.
I will have to take the kitty to the vet. to get a Health Certificate, and I will need a signed note from the vet. saying that this kitty can withstand tempertures of 20 to 80 degrees. The kitty may also need booster shots, and kittens over 4 months of age may need a rabies shot, depending on which state you live in.
I will have to purchase a pet-carrier for your cat to be shipped in, size #100 for a single kitty, and size #200 for 2 kittens, or 1 large, full grown cat. Kittens 6 months, or older, need a carrier all to themselves. 2 kittens, both younger than 6 months, can be shipped together.
I will have to get the pet carrier ready for shipping by tagging the carrier with my name, address, and phone number. And your name, address, and phone number. Also, I will tape a zip-top bag of cat food to the top of the carrier in case you don't have any cat food at home, or the cat might get stranded somewhere along the way and need it.
Inside the carrier I place an old towel or baby blanket. I also place a small litter-box inside. Also, the kitty will have food and water in a small dish attached to the inside of the carrier door. On the outside of the door I attach the kitty's rabies tag, if the kitty had to get a rabies shot.
I call the airlines, usually Northwest Airlines, they are very good to the animals they ship. I have to make arrangements for the kitty to be shipped within 10 days of the day I got the Health Certificate. When I get the flight number, departure time, arrival time, and air-bill number from the airlines, I will call you, and also email you the information. I will call the airlines 24 hours before I am to be there with the kitty, just to make sure they know we are coming. I will also call you the evening before the day I put kitty on the plane, just to make sure all is OK on your end, and there will be someone there to pick up kitty.
I give all the kitties a nice shampoo and manicure, just so they will look their best the first time you see them.
I put kitty in the carrier, and we drive for 2 hours to the Indianapolis Airport, probably very early in the morning. And, if I didn't forget anything, and the weather is OK, they will ship the kitty to you. Airlines will not ship a live animal if it is hotter than 80 degrees, and colder than 20 degrees.

Step 3 - You pick up the kitty at your airport. Be sure you take a photo ID with you, because you will need it to claim the cat. As soon as you can, call, or email me, and let me know that the kitty arrived safely.

Step 4 - After I know the kitty has arrived safely, I will send you a copy of the completed, and signed contract, the kitty's health records, and the kitty's pedigree. If shipping was over $250.00, you can send me a check for the difference. If the cat was altered when you bought it, I will send you the blue-slip to have your kitty registered with CFA. The instructions for registering a cat are on the back of the blue-slip. If the kitten needs to be spayed, or neutered, when it is 6 months old, I will hold the blue-slip until you send me a copy of the invoice, from your vet., stating the cat has been altered. After I receive confirmation that the kitty was altered, I will then, send you the blue-slip.
