Well, when Vixen was only a Journeyman Psionic Knight under Bluejay, she went with
Bluejay to fight in a certain war. In that war, she served as a messenger. On
one occassion, there was a number of troops that were trapped and would be wiped
out if not rescued- pressed up against a cliff and facing a much larger army.
Vixen had, and still has, the swiftest, smallest steed in that universe. She
volunteered to go through the narrow caves that went from one side of the stony
cliff to the other, then lead the troops back. (This was a short-cut she had often
used when delivering messages.) Only her steed was small enough to fit, and also
fast enough to get there on time. She slipped in and lead out the troops before
the enemy got there, leaving them to face what they thought was a blank cliff and
wonder what happened.
It was compared to a fox sneaking the chickens out of a coop with the farmer at
the door, and so she got her most common name- Vixen.
So, she has other names?
Yeah, but good luck finding them out! She's hunted in quite a few places, and doesn't want to give anyone a free shot at her.
Why's she hunted?
Well, she's a Master Psionic Knight, having passed all four of the Tests, and, when she's not thwarting the plans of evil, she's out hunting down demons or battling Illithids in wildspace. She's got a lot of friends, and she's no weakling, herself, but there's still a lot of people who'd like to see her dead.
So, what kind of stuff can she do to get so many people mad at her?
How'd she get to where she is today? Well, she doesn't age- an unintentional trip to the Demi-Plane of Time messed up her personal time. Physically, she doesn't grow any older, now. Mentally, she's got the experience of 98 years- that's a lot of study time. Also, she's got faith. Faith in God. Her faith is so secure that, for whatever reasons, no god/goddess or their priests can affect her with their magic unless she lets them. She herself only has the occassional miracle to testify to her magical skills.
Vixen's got a ring of shape-shifting, a mithril cloak (not to be confused with her sword, Mithril), a Plane-Hopper's ring, and some other useful items, including a Rainbow Dragon's pack (a pack that can hold a lot).
She's da bomb. She's cool, she's powerful, she's.. only human. She believes in free will, lives her life by love, and commands a large part of the Psionic Knights. She travels in small groups, with her friends who don't take her too seriously or stand around in awe of her. She doesn't like hero worship- she'll tell you she doesn't deserve it. She's a bit of a loner, simply because not many people are like her.
