S'orn, True-Singer

Beware the voices of the skalds! For their golden throats can charm the very souls from men's bodies..

S'orn is one of two skalds that belong to the 'hold' that he and his sister, Stryck, were born in. His job is a demanding one- he is a keeper of history, a representative of his people, and their most asked-after poet. As a skald, S'orn lives by music even more than do the rest of the G'Ryth.

S'orn was the last of his clutch to hatch, giving him the title of 'long-thinker', to which he gives credit. He is thoughtful, with a light heart and a song ever ready, and just a touch of the Sight to guide him.

After Stryck discovered humans, S'orn went to see this new creature and to study their music. He managed to take on their form, as a shape-shifter, and learned many instruments, but particularly enjoys the lyre, as the sound of strings had never been known to the G'Ryth before.

As a G'Ryth, S'orn seems lightly built, and is a light silvery green in color, placing him at the height of G'Ryth standards of handsomeness. He is a flirt and a tease, ready to compose a poem for any lady who asks him, yet can be quite serious when the occassion demands, showing his inner power.

S'orn is also psionically strong, but only as a telepath/empath. He often uses his talents in crucial moments in conjunction with his music, to sway an audience. His limited Sight (clairvoyance) is uncontrolled, usually coming out when he is composing, yet is always true (which gives him his most common title, True-Singer, though he has other titles given to him by female G'Ryth).

In those times that S'orn chooses to take on human form, he tries to take a form that would not be terribly conspicuous, with a light tan, rather slightly built (though, as a dragon in truth, extremely strong), sandy brown hair, and blue eyes. While traveling as a human, he carries a lute, harp, or other stringed instrument, and often a flute, which he tries to get to sound like G'Ryth singing.
