Have you written 'the perfect' script, telling a story that simply MUST be played out on a theatrical stage?
Have you shown your script to publishers who respond, "We need proof of production before we'll consider it"?
Or have you just been toying with the idea of writing a stage play but don't know if you've REALLY got the talent for it?
LET US BE THE JUDGE! And we can help you make it happen...
Take a chance; SUBMIT YOUR ORIGINAL SCRIPT. If we love it, too:
WE WILL:
PRODUCE YOUR PLAY in our 2009 season!;
Copyright your script with U.S. Library of Congress;
Heavily advertise the production with your name (and bio, as playwright, included in playbills);
Provide all proof of production publishers want!
YOU WILL:
Receive a cash prize (to be announced);
Allow us to produce one run, royalty-free;
Be able to approach publishers with a copyrighted script and proof of production that many require;
Earn notoriety through local/internet advertisement and media coverage, prior to & during production run!
Read all rules and eligibility requirements, as well as Frequently Asked Questionsfor all details including where/how to send your script. Download formatting instructions and application. Polish that script and SUBMIT IT BEFORE THE DEADLINE!!

[ This file is courtesy of Abigail-Nicole, taken from ScriptFrenzy.org ] It's an MS Word document (with which to create a template) that uses Styles to format each of the elements (character tags, dialogue, stage directions, etc.). Once you open the file, you can display the formatting styles by going to the 'format' menu and selecting Styles (to access the menu on the right side of the screen as you go along). Actually read the sample script to learn how and where to save this document as a TEMPLATE. You can then use the template to compose your typewritten script in the proper format!
TEACHERS/ADVISORS: If you have several students submitting scripts, please contact us. We may be able to arrange hand-delivery (to save postage) of the entire collection of script submissions!
