DON’T GIVE UP

    When things go wrong,
    as we know they will,
    When you're pulling that load,
    up a very steep hill,
    When money is gone,
    and the debts are high,
    And you need to smile,
    but can only cry.
    Pray and rest,
    but don’t give up.

    Life is unfair,
    we all can shout,
    When friends and neighbors
    do a turn about.
    Though all forsake you,
    never doubt,
    Our Lord is right there
    to help you out.
    Keep on moving,
    though your steps are slow,
    Success could be yours
with a heave and a ho.
    Mountain tops are closer
    than you think,
    The dark cloud with it’s
silver lining gives you a wink.
    When you are down
    and times are rough,
    Get tough, get mean,
    but Don’t Give Up.
