| What is
BCIS? |
|
Bedan
Computer Information Society (BCIS)
is an organization catering to Computer Applications
students established to develop the potentials and talents
of members by providing them with updated knowledge and
skills in computer technology and computer information
system. |

| What
are the objectives of the organization? |
To update the students' knowledge in the
latest trends of Information Technology through seminars, conferences, symposia, exhibits,
educational tours, reading publications, and joining competitions for its total growth.
To supplement the growth of its members
through computer related activities in and out of San Beda College.
To act as a student arm (whose activity
objectives are aligned with the course curriculum and/or with the CAIS Educational
Philosophy) of the Department of Computer Applications and Information Science in
producing globally competitive graduates who are well equipped with the tools they needed.
To promote camaraderie and solidarity
among its members and to encourage the members in participating organizational or BCIS
activities.
To strengthen its linkages to other
computer organizations outside San Beda College.
To inculcate the Benedictine values of
Prayer, Work, and Study for the total growth an development of the members by enhancing
spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental aspects of being.
To be socially concerned by being aware
on the trends and current issues on Information Technology, and by extending its services
and resources to the larger community.
