Face Panels are for cladding to internal fire rated walls. The face panel system includes panels such as transfer grilles, commodates outlets related to curity system, fire alarm system outlets, lift call etc.

Characteristic

• Mainly located at the east and west of the building around stair case shafts, service modules, lift shafts and walls around special purpose areas such as EDP (electrical data processing) levels, BMS (building management system) area, kitchen and Record & Filing rooms
• Subframe system enables the panels to be attached to face of fire-resistant wall accurately and removed / replaced individually when required
• Constructed of pressed galvanised steel pans with 12mm plasterboard bonded to rear face for extra rigidity
• 1.2m module - same as ceiling & flooring panels
• Finished with baked resin acrylic paint
• Colour according to zone - grey at exterior; same as partition in office

Comments

The face panels are claddings in nature, so its function is to protect the inner layers. In order to achieve this, it must be robust enough to resist different sorts of erosions, Ease of maintenance is also an important factor. The panels in this building are achieving these targets quite well from where I observe around the building.

And it has also maintained a consistent profile to the exterior and interior of the building. As mentioned above, the panels change their colours to keeping it the same with the exterior and the interior.
