ImpressIonIsm are back, after 4years of silence.

If you had to stylise this band into a category it would be semi-progressive dynamical hard rock with something else, that well I guess is called Atmosphere. The band have gone about continued development of their sound in the large break between drinks. To think of this band as just picking up where they left off, would be completely wrong. This Phoenix have decided to try and fly in similar sprit as its old life continuing to develop an interesting and abstract sound built on combining any and everything that members enjoy and even hate. This carnation is all about combining different musical elements together to try and find there own sonic space within the Australian Music Scene. There is also a heavy push to include as much other media to help bring the Music alive as possible, including video and still imagers, both drawn and real, comics and even short stories. The new carnation are proud of where the band was heading back in 2003,

Winning the Kool Skools hard rock/metal award 2003.
The new band still has the punk-ish power of the old days, the fire in the eyes so to speak, yet now they also have placed more focuses on slower melodic passages, with the idea that dynamical changer will help bring story, atmosphere and emotions of each song to life. In the old days the band was all about the dark imagery, these days they continue to push the dark imagery, but also focus on the lighter, happier shades of music.
With all of this in mind, 2009 is a year III crew hope to spring back into full life with plains of more web demos, an EP and abundance of show to make there mark that
