Martinsville
wins homecoming game
MARTINSVILLE -- Martinsville grabbed
its first win of the season and won its homecoming game Friday in a
34-7 Little Illini Conference win against Edwards County.
Dylan Cribler had five carries for 73
yards and three touchdowns, while Phillip Higginbotham had 27 carries
for 144 yards and one touchdown to help the winning team’s efforts.
Quarterback Matt Higginbotham was six
of 13 for 82 yards and one touchdown.
On the defensive side, Josh Turner
had six solo tackles and six assists.
The team (1-6) is to play Red Hill
Friday.
