I have done some research on the Wise family and would like to find others in the family or think you might be part of this family. Most of us that I know about live in Illinois. I do know some lived in Ohio at some point. We believe our Dad, Darroll Milton Wise, was part Indian. His Dad was Milton Wise. I will be adding more to this web site as I find more and will also add all the information I have found on this family.
Darroll Milton Wise was born to Milton Simon Wise and Ethel Mae Hawley. Milton's first wife was Lucy Rinker with whom he had one child. Their other children were Eula Belle and Ethel Mae. Darroll died in January of 1971. His wife, Alice Kennedy/Wise, is still alive. Their children are Gary, Janet (died in 2002), Vivian, Eleanor, and Duane.
Milton's parents were Simon Peter Wise (died July 30, 1909) and Martha Jane Templeton (Templin) (died on October 5, 1916). They are buried in Chatsworth Cemetery, Chatsworth, Illinois. Simon Peter Wise was first married to Sarah Ann Keith, born in 1843 in Licking County, Ohio.
Simon Peter Wise's parents were Peter Wise (born in 1804 and married in 1827 to Edith Norman, born in 1807).
