It was all started when two buddies of mine and myself asked what it would be like if we lived in an RPG (video game genre). It snowballed from there. We started by choosing the typical cliched characters. We had a wizard, knight, thief, archer, princess, merchant, elf, and extra hottie. We based each character on ourselves and people we knew. One of my pals drew literally over a hundred characters for my stories. Most of the characters never even had life breathed into them, they just "looked cool."
I stopped the stories because everything I wrote there was just awful. There were some good ideas, but it was all so cliched I was ashamed. However, one day I decided to go back and change it all.
So far I've posted "Enderby" here. It is actually the second "chapter" for the much bigger story I have in mind. But the first chapter focuses on an entirely different scenario, so it makes no different who's on first.
The West Destiny story is my attempt to cross fantasy with a Western. It continues a saga that will begin in "Legends." It's experimental.
If you read either, let me know what you think. I need some insight. Is either story still too cliched? Do you like or hate what's here so far? I want to know these things.
