Ill Natural
Ill Natural formed back in February of '01 when J. Sizzor and Gemini first met up with K-Soul at a show in Portland. She approached the two of them saying how she was a singer and would like to work with them on a project. After only one listen of her voice, the two of them knew they had something and immediately asked her to join them on their quest. Soon to follow K-Soul introduced the boys to her high school friend DJ Newscreen, an up and coming dj from the area. After hearing Newscreen’s turntable antics and occasional rhymes the three felt he would be a great addition to the group and added him to the roster. Now with the team complete, they started doing shows and hitting the studio, traveling three hours down to Rhode Island to record at CNJ Records...(con't at bottom)
Soon after, that summer, Ill Natural released an exclusive debut single titled Naturally Ill. The single hit #1 on the high five at five countdown on RED HOT 95, WRED, Maine’s only hip-hop radio station. Now considered Maine’s premier hip hop and r&b crew, the group started hitting the clubs doing show after show, selling copies of the single to make money for more studio time....for more on Ill Natural check out IllNatural.com
