Past Shows for Semester One

May 3rd
The man, the myth, the legendary DANIEL WAGNER live and in the studio
“Big Boy, not the bath Big Boy, not the bath.”
Hour one however belonged to Anthony as he covered Distrubed getting a new bassist, Deftones getting ready to finish their next album, Drowning Pool returning to the mainstream, and debuted the Discovering a New Band Segment featuring a great up and coming band in Flaw. But then it was time for the main event.
“Who cares, do you sleep in the nuuude!”
Vogner was with us as we discussed Teddy Hart’s new promotion, Bret Hart confirming he can never physically wrestle again, and let everyone know about the prolonged absence of Kurt Angle due to another neck surgery and Scott Steiner about to return to the Smackdown Roster. We also covered the Top Five Matches of RVD’s career as he prepares career suicide by resigning with the WWE and did a Pothead Rant on how shitty the current WWE product is by exposing the fact that they have no contenders for any of the 8 titles they have between the 2 “brands” of their company. Billy Gunn’s no push and the overpush of Edge and Christian became a nerve that was struck right before we closed down shop for the night.

A return to normalcy in the studio with The Don and Slater returning
“Doc, I didn’t know you was back in town.”
Sam returned to hour one and brought with him the return of the Ozzfest Spotlight Section as well as the debut of Necessary Nine Inch Nails as we count down to the Ozzfest 2004 concert and the late 2004 release of the new NIN album. We also had an attractive young lady drop by the studio, wondering if CLC Radio could fill a void in her academic life.
“I’d like to fill her void. Show her my flying flipper trick!”
Slater and the Hed PE opening returned to the second hour as we broke the news of NWA TNA officially getting a television deal from the Fox Sports Network! More big news followed as Steve Austin leaves the WWE for the third time in two years and gets ready to have a match with Goldberg in Japan. Benoit and Edge becoming tag champs, AJ Styles becoming TNA World Heavyweight Champ, Bret Hart meeting with Vince McMahon, Lance Storm retiring, and ROH in Chicago were among the spine tingling topics discussed as well as two Top Five Lists covering the best matches during the careers of Lance Storm and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

April 19th
All Anthony All The Time!! bIg dAddy flies solo this week for both hours
“Oh you didn’t know?!”
With Sam busy with classes and Slavi handling some domestic problems Anthony was free to let loose and show the world why this is his show, his future, and why he has been selected to run CLC Radio starting in the fall semester.
“Your ass betta call SOMEBOOODDDDDDYYYYY!!!!!!!”
With no shackles in the form of what other people in the studio think or want to talk about Anthony let his rants reign supreme while covering news from the world of heavy metal and hard rock music. Velvet Revolver, MegaDeth, the FCC, Jim Ross, Mancow, 3PW, ROH, racism, homophobia, Metallica, and the overall quality of the CLC were all among topics and rants discussed throughout the show. The political, historical, and pop culture references mixed with the well timed, well organized, well spoken rants and music timing showed the world why this is only the first step in a career of radio for the Punisher.

April 12th
Our first song request, and it was from a lady.
“Welcome to the show everyone, I am the Ladies Man.”
It was a slow news week and the content of the show reflected it, but our creativity got us through it since the wrestling news was the only thing that wasn’t crisp on the show. We covered the unlikely and unique revivals of ECW and WCW, updated the return to the ring of DDP, and randown the card for Backlash.
“BORING!!”
Well we had ya covered with a Drunken Debate on whether or not ECW should be brought back by the WWE and previewed one of the best looking shows in NWA TNA history. I’m told the music was played too loud to hear but the soothing sounds of our voices brought athletic girls to CLC by the bus load. Well they were their for a conference of some sort, but they were moaning an awful lot for a female sports convention.

April 5th
The 10 Year Anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s Death
Not to mention the 2 year anniversary of Layne Staley’s death, what a depressing day. Hour one was dedicated almost entirely to playing Nirvana and Alice in Chains and giving our personal feelings on the bands’ legacies. The only music that wasn’t from Seattle was the Ozzfest Spotlight Section featuring Lacuna Coil. But the mood picked up with the arrival of Slater and hour two.
“Light my candles, in a daze, cause I found God. YEAHHHHHHYEAHHHHH!!!”
Not one fuck up the entire second half. A couple great movie lines, nothing but good music, a whole lot of news covered, and unanimous rants. Not the greatest show ever, but this definetly is in the top five. Speaking of Top Five covered the top five best looking title belts of all time and the Pothead Rant was dedicated to calling the WWE on how much they fucked up with the draft lottery. But more news topics were discussed including the release of Sean O’Haire, TNA almost guaranteeing themselves a TV Deal with Fox Sports, Bret Hart filing suit over his career ending injury, and his nephew Teddy stealing the show in CZW again by bringing a fight to the streets of Philly causing the entire ECW Arena to follow and stop traffic in both directions.

March 22nd
The Four Horsemen in the studio, taken names, and whoopin that ass!
“Did I hear someone say the greatest stable in the world was dead?!!”
HUPA made his return to the show and gave off a performance as memorable as a fart in the wind. But he was a man and drank the entire cup of devil cum coffee we were given by the faculty advisor. We finally gave our review of WrestleMania XX or at least what we saw through all of the smoke. We also covered the growing likelihood of an ECW return, the firing of Farooq, and the WWE Draft Lottery. TNA has covered extensively with the ICP leaving. . thank god, closing in on a deal with FOX Sports, announcing a Mexico vs UK America’s X Cup, and trying to get AJ Styles to leave Ring of Honor. Our Top Five covered Top Five WrestleMania matches and Hupa didn’t even know his first two.
“Bison, you’re on the air!”
We also did a Pothead Rant on what should occur during the Draft Lottery that gave logical steps and reasoning to create two totally different WWE brands or three if they wanted to bring back ECW. You’d think WWE would want two different brands rather than the same show twice a week just with different people, but then again Vince knows more than what the people want, that is until it comes to pushing the right talent.

March 15th
The Kilbasa and Tamale Mostly Music Show Numero Dos
“Good enough to fuck your mother!!"
The Don and pImp dAddY said to hell with wrestling one night after one of the best WrestleMania’s ever and said that it was time for the return of the mostly music show. News and rants covered KoRn exposing the music industry, Audioslave’s creative juices flowing, System of a Down bringing spotlight to a dark historical moment, Slipknot, Guns ‘N Roses reuniting. . . for a lawsuit, Ozzfest 2004, and of course his most hated and mine. . Metallica. Did we hurt em too much?
“You're gonna feel a slight pinch."
The new equipment in the studio and Sam growing more comfortable in front of the mic made for a show that can druely be dubbed as a not as good as the original sequel.

March 1st
The show got a late start thanks to good ole technology doing what it does best, causing problems and hour two started with the co host giving a synonym for saying that he thought he had a good idea, and the host screwed up.
“Well here’s a synonym for procreation, fuck you."
The Don officially became a regular part of the show, becoming the hour one co host and debuted the new Ozzfest Spotlight Section dedicating an entire segment of the show once a week to a band playing on the Ozzfest 2004 tour. Hour Two saw the debut of WrestleMania month on the show with the gang giving up what would become the official final card for WrestleMania XX and giving their Top Five Tag Team Matches in WM History. Stone Cold getting his own beer, Teddy Hart and CM Punk shoot fighting before TNA, Ric Flair FINALLY being forced into retirement, and Bret Hart and Vince McMahon having a face to face meeting were the topics discussed. The show was topped off with a Drunken Debate on WCW/ECW/WWE Brands vs. the current All WWE Brands system of programming.

February 23rd
More music than wrestling? Not a dirty lie but a scary truth for this week’s show.
“That monkey shot me in the ass and paralyzed me. . oh sweet irony!”
Enough music news to warrant starting a half an hour early. New album news on Monster Magnet, Guns N’ Roses, and Bruce Dickinson. Tour updates regarding Linkin Park, Korn, and Snoop Dogg? That’s right, touring together for the Projekt Revolution Tour. The Don graced us with his precense to help with some bits and to give the lineup for Ozzfest 2004. Wow, is that two links in this paragraph?
“Cut that crap out.”
The Wrestling Section covered the very round and flabby shape of the stars of both the WWE and TNA. Pretty much anyone in the wrestling industry that isn’t on the Smackdown Roster excluding Big Show needs to hit the gym. We covered the Top Five Cruiserweights of All Time and drunkenly debated the two golded ages of the WWE’s history and ended the night ranting on the Bias of the WWE’s talent pushes which are almost identical of those that put WCW out of business.

February 16th
Over three hours of Anarchy Rulez? Well I know the ladies felt a tingle after being stimulated with the show's electricity for that long.
“Face it, you get, wet . . . with perspiration!”
The show started 40 minutes early and we still couldn’t fit in everything we wanted to discuss. Probably because we spent so much time congratulating Eddie Guerrero on making history by becoming the first true cruiserweight and the first Latino to win the WWE Heavyweight Championship. No one deserves it more, well maybe Benoit who found out he’ll be winning the World Title in Triple Threat Match at WM XX with the shadow of HBK involved. MLW folds. . . AGAIN! TNA gets covered all over the tube from ESPN to CBS.
“You must be very proud of yourself.”
Top Five No Way Out matches and What Should be 2004 were covered in the Top Five and Pothead Rant respectively. The music portion of the show featured both great and shitty news with the announced returns of Slipknot, Judas Priest (tour wise), and MegaDeth on the horizon and the out of nowhere breakup of Nothingface. But nothing could overshadow the history making events that took place at a usual bastard ppv, congratulations Eddie no one else besides Benoit, RVD, and Test deserve it as much as you do.

February 9th
After a week off due to Weather and Wagner we were back with a vengeance. We started early and ended late and lets face it we wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Stop it I’m getting misty.”
We had a Top Five on the best matches of the WWE Era, had news on The Rock working one show all year for WWE, Bret Hart’s potential return to the ring, WWE bringing back ECW, and previewed the TNA vs AAA America’s X Cup tournament. Not to mention our longest pothead rant to date with the What Should Have Been 2003. We gave storyline, push, and title ideas that were far better than anything seen on TV last year for RAW, Smackdown, and TNA. We even had a preview for the next show and a call from Krazy Kyle about the ICP’s recent appearances on TNA PPVs. The show had more ranting than news but to say that is something new would be to say that Metallica has been keeping it real over the past 10 years.

January 26th
We kicked off the new year with a tribute to the greatest active technical wrestler in the world and the winner of the 2004 Royal Rumble, The Crippler Chris Benoit. Benoit who after being kept in the dumps of the WWE for four years just after finally reaching main event status in WCW. Benoit who defied the odds, and Goldberg’s political tantrums and became only the second man in WWE history to be the #1 entry in the Royal Rumble and go the whole way, eliminating Big Show for the win.
“I’m here for Benoit, and that’s all I have to say about it.”
We had a Top Five on the best matches of Benoit’s career, a Drunken Debate on Benoit getting the world title now versus him getting it four years ago when he jumped to the WWF and a Pothead Rant on Benoit’s career and title history. And since Benoit is a face Royal Rumble winner and is going to be going to RAW to fight for that World Title, you know what that means. . .
“You called down the thunder well now you got it!”
Triple H’s time at the top will officially becoming to an end at WM XX! No getting out of it, no pulling a Booker T, no nothing, the biggest political cancer in the history of wrestling besides Hulk Hogan time as world champ will be over forever!! Rejoice! Rejoice! And with TNA announcing they will be holding 3 Hour Sunday Night PPV’s every three months it looks like the 2nd dark age in the last decade may be over by April’s end.
