POLICY

PWE has certain Policys you should be aware of. This includes how this site is Run, and how roleplaying is judged. If you are confused by any of this, email Prez Twoey or contact via MSN messenger. Details can be found under 'staff'

Roleplay Policy

Unlike most Feds, PWE incorporates what is a slightly unusual Roleplaying setup.
Everything happens on a monday. The card is posted by Monday as is the new line-up for next week. Roleplay deadline is...Monday!

This gives you a whole Week to get those Roleplays in. I also get a whole week as you will be roleplaying a week in advance. Essentially you will always be roleplaying for an event 2 weeks away. On the surface this may seem strange, but with this unique method, You get a whole week to Roleplay and I get a whole week to write the card which means NO late results and more than likely they will be early most weeks anyway.

I want to be able to put out good quality results, fully html'd and on time every week. And with a whole week to do it, It is not a problem.

Disciplinary Policy

The one thing I can't stress enough is this is YOUR fed. YOU run it. Me and the staff members are just the guys that ensure everything runs smoothly. And part of that process is making sure that no-one ruins any one elses fun. See the rules for an in depth list of DO's and DON'Ts when it comes to the OOC message board.

If you offend another member of this Fed and I feel it was unnecessary it will be up to the guy you have offended on wether you stay or not. Even then, if he feels he wants you out, you will only be kicked out on a 80% majority verdict by the members of this fed. PWE is a democracy and as Such I value how you want this fed to be run. If you offend a member of staff it will be a vote amongst the staff members on what to do with you. These are very extreme cases, however.

Complaining Policy

If you don't like how I graded your match....please by all means complain. A Lot of feds will instruct that you do not 'bitch' about matches but every single E-fedder at some point in thier lives has had a match they thought they should have won. Now I'm only human, and If I make a mistake with grading then I am happy to hear why you think I was wrong. Just remember that staff decisions are final. All complaints are to be sent to me via E-mail...not MSN messenger. I don't have time for a long MSN convo on why you lost, but I can read an e-mail and decide what to do from there much quicker. If the staff members feel you had a case for winning, you will get another shot at the title if it was a title match. Otherwise you just get my apologies. If I think I was right, I will explain to you EXACTLY why you lost. where your opponent was strong and where you were weak. It is every roleplayers right to know how and why decisions are made but make sure when you do complain that you feel like you have a solid case. And make sure you tell me in your E-mail WHY. I won't begrudge people complaining as long as you are civil and polite. I don't respond to swear words and I don't respond to threats.

Oh and bottom line..absolutely NO bitching on the OOC. I have an E-mail and I have MSN messenger. Use it. Complaining OOC posts will be deleted and you will be warned.

Judging Policy

In PWE..best roleplayer for the week..wins. It's that cut and dry. Angles and storylines are important here in PWE but have no bearing on wether you win a match or not. PWE is a game. And games are for winning. If you and you opponent decide it would be good to end a match in a no contest, or decide to hand your opponent a victory to build up a feud, then we will more than happily write that for you. But you will never be forced to JOB for the sake of storyline. There are feds out there that do that, and they can be very succesfull..but this fed is about competition first and foremost.

This is a breakdown of how Roleplays are judged:

Description

This is not just about how many long words you use, it is about how accurately you can describe a setting or an event. If readers can 'picture' what you are writing it is more than likely a good roleplay.

Dialogue

Ok, this isn't just trash talk. Trash talk can be entertaining, but that alone will not make your RP great. This is also covers interaction with other charcters in your Roleplay. A clever script, a witty banter..It all gets graded.

Humour

Some of us are evil, satan worshipping bad asses and rely on description and dialogue. You goofy heels or fun loving babyfaces may like to use humour in your roleplays. And yes it get's judged. I've laughed out loud to some roleplays and you can bet that gives you a thumbs up.

Originality

Very VERY important. possibly the most important thing here. Now you will never be 100% original, but it's been said that 'True Originality is stealing with good judgment'. In the years of E-fedding Ive seen a lot of different styles. And the most original guys were the ones that could take an Idea that hadn't been done much and made it there own. Don't be the Rock..Don't be Austin..Be your own creation. As far as roleplays go, you don't have to set your Roleplay as a backstage interview or a monologue. It can be set anywhere..and if that location is unusual or interesting, you'll get big props. Other good settings I've seen are regular places to do with your character. Like A nightclub owner always in his nightclub or a Casino owning mafia type.

Charcter development.

This is a personal fave of mine when looking at a RP. Give people a reason to care about your charcter. Your guy may be having trouble with that pesky heel hitting you with chairs, but whats going on in your charcters life? What has happened in his past? What inner demons does he possess? I've seen some people write thier RP's like a series, ending on a cliffhanger or 'to be continued' this generates interest in your next RP. It's not something you have to do of course, but if this is your bag...chances are I'm gonna like reading your RP's. Of course, if you have none of the other qualitys...no cliffhanger is going to make your RP any better.

Effort.

Running a Fed takes a lot of effort, and matches can sometimes take hours. I don't ask that you bleed for me, as I will put in as much effort with the match as you do with your roleplay. Better the RP, better the match. When it comes to judging roleplays, I can hardly judge effort as writing comes easily to some people than others. But If I see you are putting effort into your roleplays, sending strats and roleplaying consistantly, it may be the deciding factor when you and your opponents roleplays are very close.

Overall

Although these are the things I'm looking for I can only really judge your Roleplays overall. What you are aiming to do is make people believe in your character. You dont have to be an English Professor or some up with the most original idea known to man, you just have to breathe life into what you are creating. E-fedding is about creating a fantasy world with real life limitations. Knowing those limitations but stretching your creativity is how you win matches.
