Biographical info: In his mid-to-late thirties, J K Pouteau has become a somewhat well-known presence around Albuquerque; his 'quirky charm' (to quote Action News) seems to leave quite the impression. A small businessman with a shop in the New Dawn Mall, the Clock Works, Mr. Pouteau ran for City Council - but his sudden disappearance before the election scuttled his chances for office. Mr. Pouteau gladly accepts requests for custom work in jewelry, clocks and watches, and other mechanical contrivances; his phone number is 355-3444.
When Mr. Pouteau is not in his shop, he's often seen in Blue Moon Records (owned and operated by his SO, Esteban Klein), lurking about in Shrouded Secrets, or getting his fill of iced tea at the Lost Souls Cafe. He's been seen to keep a wide array of company, from UNM students to street urchins to society mavens - notably among them, Dr. Jack Costa, Charles Anderson, Asher Thayer, Dr. Tessia Lexington, Ashtoria Apophanos, Lucas Montero, and Sacha Delarose.
Any rumors of his eccentricity - eating babies, reading tarot cards, being a damn Yankee, or having been a professional Mexican Wrestler - are likely to be gleefully agreed with by Mr. Pouteau and cheerfully expounded upon.
