After admiring the minisule lights for some time, I was quickly thrust into reality, and I lept up. I turned around to notice a bulbous gibbous low in the sky. Turns out I'm in someone's front yard, and my passing out didn't go unnoticed. Faint sirens were blaring, and a strobing blue-red was telling me I should quickly take my leave. I ran left, to the backyard of the house, which I could see had woods behind it.
I tripped over that goddam dog at least three times. The far fence began to grow, and I was up and over it in a flash.
It was a bit higher a fall than I had anticipated - around four extra feet or so. After a painful rolling around, I noticed the sirens stopped, the dog was silent, and no sounds of wildlife met my ears. It seemed all the sounds went into this smell, a pungent, almost sour smell. I could only make out a bright stripe on the ground. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I noticed a hand at the end of this stripe. I slowly traced the arm up to a body, then to an eyeless, cheekless woman of about 30. I turned at the horrible sight, to notice at least another 15 among her.
