Finally fixed the g'damn machine!!!
Hello Hello!

Ill Janne is in a happier mood today!

Our big party is on next saturday... there are almost 60 names on the invitation list. Dunno how many will actually show up.

We(Hannu, Aleksi, Elmeri and me) will do some posters and stuff for the party. The theme is comic like monster characters or something similar.

Not many working days left:)

Oh yeah! I finally fixed my mp3 player(creative zen touch) and I did it all by myself!!!
I'm now ripping my cd collection. I already have 145 cd's ripped.

Another reason to celebrate is the fact that I'll get my vinyl order finally. They are able to deliver 6 of the nearly 15 records I ordered and it took them like 3 months or so. Anyways it is nice to be able to play some new booty bass at the party.

There is 1 very good thing about this job: I stay outside the time when there is some sun light. I don't get as depressed as I usually do at this time of year.

I sent some stickers to this stickerswitch http://www.stickerswitch.com/

They will send me a random stash of stickers from all over the world. It is very exciting to see what I will get.

ok I'm out!

see ya'll(at the party hopefully)

You don't know what love is
Hello!

My b-day is next sunday but I have the main party the week after that...

I got promoted!

I'm the new teamleader. yei!

I now earn 10.50 euros/hour:

I've been to Tampere 2 times. I worked there for some days. Tuukka lives there nowadays. We have had lots of fun there: poetry night, free jazz and all sorts of other things.

...

All kinds of shit went down. As most of you have probably heard the streetart exhibition was cancelled. I'm going to arrange it sometime next year... I hope.

...

this song describes my mood well:

"You Don't Know What Love Is"
by Billie Holiday

You don't know what love is
?Til you?ve learned the meaning of the blues
Until you?ve loved a love you've had to lose
You don't know what love is

You don't know how lips hurt
Until you've kissed and had to pay the cost
Until you've flipped your heart and you have lost
You don't know what love is

Do you know how lost I've been
At the thought of reminiscing
And how lips that taste of tears
Lose their taste for kissing

You don't know how hearts burn
For love that cannot live yet never dies
Until you've faced each dawn with sleepless eyes
You don't know what love is

You don't know how hearts burn
For love that cannot live yet never dies
Until you've faced each dawn with sleepless eyes
You don't know what love is

...

im out

Mini-pigs
Huh huh!

What a busy week it was and to top that... this one doesen't feel much easier.

L&A

Some of the films weren't that special but almost all of them were definitely worth seeing. I especially liked the following:

"Five Obstructions" by Lars von Trier: This 1 was very easy to enjoy and it wasn't as heavy as his other work... very artsy but in a good way. Definitely worth seeing if you really like cinema as an artform.

"Aaltra": This one was very funny and it surprised me positively. It added to the experience that I saw the directors/lead actors at the theatre. They were very funny guys and I think that at that moment they were pretty drunk too... if all belgians are this nice I definitely want to go there someday.

"Mercano the Martian": I was laughing my ass off in this one... hella good Argentinian animation. Imagine southparkish characters that are speaking spanish. The script was done well too.

"Azumi": Good chanbara action... I'm very glad that this one wasn't dead serious like some other new japanese samurai/ninja-flicks.

"Save The Green Planet": This one is a hard one. I liked some parts of it and I have to admit that it is a quality production but some images/parts of this film were so disturbing that I cannot fully like this film. It was worth seeing but I dunno when I wanna see it again. 1 + side is the fact that there were lots of good jokes in it

"Steamboy": This 1 didn't let me down even though it wasn't that amazing either.

...

I met Lotta during l&a. It was nice to meet her even though we saw each others only briefly. I saw a making of movie of a music video they shot this summer... I'm eagerly waiting for the video itself.

Oh yeah! I visited helsinki comic festival too. I bought some comics(mike diana, pekar&crumb among others) and "street logos" book but overall it was very lame.

We have started a new rpg campaign here. The game is Fvlminata and there are 4 players which must be like the unofficial record for the number of participants in a game run by me(ropecon games excluded). We are trying to play every tuesday.

Our street art exhibition is proceeding nicely. I have some stuff ready too... check my front page if u wanna know what I have done for it. I'm gonna do some stencils too(james cagney posing as a gangsta). I'm gonna see Mark tomorrow. He is an old friend of mine that I haven't seen in a while. I invited him to join our crew of artists for the exhibition.

Elmeri is going to bring me 200 sticker sheets tomorrow! It feels like christmas!

I saw Empa last saturday. It was very nice to see her cause I have't seen her in a very long time. I think she is slightly depressed because she is stuck in Lahti. She was very determined to continue studying there though.

Haven't seen Aleksi in awhile... I sent him some stickers(files) and he liked them alot:)

I'm going to be workin next weekend at the organic food fair. I bet that it will be easy to get new members for gp there.

I've been home alone for 1&1/2 week now. Haven't had the time to fully enjoy this fact.

Windy day
Man, I'm so sick!

Have been all week...

This morning I woke up 6.50. I spent many hours at this queu for the Love & Anarchy film festival tickets... In the end I maneged to get all the tickets I wanted except for 1... I was late for work because of this. Fortunately it was only for 7 minutes or so.

I had a very good day at work yesterday: I managed to get 5 new members for Greenpeace. Today sucked so much! It was so windy outside that we had to stay near(underground and indoors) the central railway station almost all the time... And after 5 hours of work my saldo was 1:(

Tomorrow we are gonna go to Jarvenpaa. It is nice to have some variation in work/life in general.

Yei!

Rilda is going to visit Hki this weekend! I'm so happy:)

Don't Worry! Be Happy!
Hello Hello!

Got a job and a girl(as you may have already heard).

"What job and what girl!" u are all asking...

well let me tell ya:

Im currently working for Greenpeace. We are trying to get new supporting members from the streets. It's a challenging job but I'm enjoying it nevertheless: working outdoors is nice, speaking with people is also nice + it is a very flexible job and the pay is good:)

I'm going to be working for them until the end of october.

Ok

About the girl...

She is so cool! She is slightly younger than I am but she is very mature both emotionally and mentally. She lives in another town but we see each other on the weekends. I'm madly in love with her... I thought that I would never meet anyone like her but I tell you: she is "the" perfect match for me, my true soulmate.

Ok nuff said 'bout dat.

Paihteiden yo("the night of the dope" or something like dat) was ok... I played a game of Necromunda against Tyko's spyrers and lost. The visual range was cut to 8 inches because the part of hive we fought in was pitch black. Later on I went to see Joel, Osmo, Aleksi and some other old school mates we drank some drinks(Osmo bought me a drink! Can you believe that?!) in Corona and continued to Sauna Baar... The atmosphere wasn't that good and I decided to leave 24.00.

We went to otaniemi last saturday. You see Philip, that Swiss guy I met at Hannu's midsummer party was having his farewell party. First it was quite awkward... people didn't talk much but soon more people came and it started to feel like a real party. It was very nice to see Philip and it is such a shame that he had to leave Finland. Well maybe we will meet him again someday(when he has lost his mind and decides that Finland is a good place to visit). I also saw Hannu there. Introduced my new companion to him(they had already met though).

I saw Tarkovski's "Stalker" last tuesday. I went to see it with Tuukka. After the movie we drank some beer with Anni and this other guy whose name I can't remember. We decided to arrange some rpg-action for the fall even though Empa and Pietsu probably can't participate that often. BTW They are making a rpg out of Stalker... it is a finnish project that is supposed to come out next year.

Today I'm gonna see Tarkovski's "Mirror"(Zerkalo) with Tuukka.

...

I'm out!

Tahan nyrkkiin!
Huh huh!

What a party it was!

I arrived at Aleksi's house 17.30 or so. First there weren't that many people present... only Heikki, Saara Kunnaala, Aleksi and me. I talked with Heikki and Saara and mixed/downed my first cuba libre(I had 0.7l of white rum). Tuukka arrived later on... we talked about the following topics: music, stalker(they are making a rpg out of it) and the house of leaves. It was very nice to see him because I haven't seen him in a while... He played me 1 song from their bands website. It is very pro sounding and I liked it alot! It is intellectual music but it is still very easy to enjoy.

Sami, Outi, Joni, Taru and some others arrived and I spent some time talking with Sami... they had this idea of going to a dark place and looking at the stars with a telescope... I promised to help them calibrate the telescope. I hope it will happen 'cause it sounds like a fun Idea.

Hannu arrived quite late and he was dressed as a snake oil salesman(wildwest thang). It was very nice that were so many of my friends present... we boozed alot and did all sorts of crazy shit. It was a very good party indeed.

By the time we were taking a bath and sauna I was feeling very ill(had downed the whole bottle). I was ready to pass out when I was listening to ivo at the garden room but miracuously I didn't. I continued on and on. Didn't sleep at all that night. It was funny that although some people had already left there were still quite many present and they were all still partying(6 or 7 o'clock). We left the house and headed to hki 8.00. Sorry Aleksi that I didn't stay and help you clean... next time ok?

I drank some tea/coffee with Mikko and Annaroosa at Cafe lasipalatsi. We were enjoying ourselves when this bum came and asked for some money for a coffee. I didn't give hime anything but Annaroosa decided to give him some coins. Ofcourse he didn't leave us alone... He wanted to borrow a phone so that he could call Kauko Royhka because he left some stuff at his place. We found out that this bum was a finnish comic artist Jouko Nuora who draws some erotic comics. He told us about the whores he had used in hki and in spain(no, we didn't ask him to talk about it). He was very annoying... we left him there and continued on to a alepa to purchace some food but it wasn't open yet so we deciced to split.

I came home 10.00 and after I took a shower I went to bed... I woke up 18.30. Ate something and I'm now listening to Saara's webradio broadcast. Good music. Perfect for the moment!

I won this Love & Anarchy competition and got tickets for the Cremaster series.

Sleeping problems
Huh huh...

I spent last week at the Star Camp. It was pretty hectic and tiresome. Lots of work and not enough sleep. I played soccer and ultimate + I swam nearly every evening. Got a mild tan too.

Remember to check the photos! There is a link on the front page.

Something very nice happened in my life. I haven't slept well in a while because of it. It is kinda complicated... I will tell you more about it soon.

I'm gonna go to koneisto next saturday... gonna see Cutlass Supreme, Herbert and The Streets.

I'm out

1 spezi please!
Hello hello!

Yeah! I'm finally back from Germany.

I spent 4 nights in Hamburg and 3 in Berlin.

Hamburg was a nice looking city but it had a slightly odd street layout and there where amazingly few general stores and honest food restaurants. Reperbahn is over rated... Although some of the polish strippers were quite nice. What annoyed me most was the "lets fool these suckas and get their money" attitude. Ofcourse I didn't play along with any of their schemes: "u wanna buy me a drink?" "no! we are cheap bastards!". U can make money with that shit(sex/strip) even if u ain't fooling anyone! And what was that show that the bartender did with 1 of the ho's? If I would want to see that shit I would go some place else... In a striptease joint all u want to see is ass and titties! Not some fool playing around.

Hamburg had lots of nice parks and all that but it seemed like a slightly dull place.

Berlin

To be able to get a whole picture of the city we should have probably stayed longer there. It was gray and there wasn't even a big distinction between the "east" and "west" sides of the city... allmost all of the old buildings were destroyed when city was bombed down in the 40's... atleast it seemed that way. I visited Hard Wax, a very good record store in a very ghetto area. I would have wanted to check out some clubs but I really didn't have enough money or time for that. All of the so called tourist attractions were very boring... they looked way better in movies.

By the way they don't have cider in Hamburg or Berlin but they have these strange drinks like: alster wasser which is basically beer and lemonade and they serve spezi(fanta + cola) in the restaurants and u can buy it in a bottle too.

I bought some games, 6 x 12"'s(1 dynamix II), a hoodie and a really good book about street art: the art of rebellion.

We bought a digital camera. I took some photos and I'm gonna put them on my pages so remember to check my front page regularly.

Yeah tomorrow is Aleksi's pool party!

for now

Im out

Ill Janne

PS: check Imaran Voima "The church of latter day maggots" the song "commando" is especially good!

Creators and Destroyers
Which one r u?

I think I'm little bit of both.

Yeah! It was a wild midsummer: 4 days of boozing and goofing around. Very taxing both physically and mentally... I had to talk with people all the time and most of the time we were just telling jokes(and repeating them like 1000 times) or chatting about girls, music, tv, soccer or something like that.

We spent thursday with a smaller crowd because some of the people(some girls and this architect guy called Ilkka) arrived on friday. We watched the game and I won 3 beers from Hannu because of a little gamble we had. Later on that day I played some IVO 12's("group sex" is the name of the new one) with the record player that Hannu had brought. I drank most of my rum(7 dl bottle)that day and was feeling very ill. At 5 o'clock or so I went to sleep(in a bed!).

The next day I had a horrible hangover but I still manged to get out of the cottage area with Hannu and this Philip guy who was from Svitzerland. We played petanque and some haggy sack near a lake. The water temperature was too low for swimming. Later on the rest of the "gang" arrived and we continued on boozing and even grilled some food If I can remember correctly. We sneaked inside Puuhamaa area to see the "kokko"(basically a huge bonfire) but sneaked back very quickly because of the security guy. He walked very lazily towards us and didn't stop even though we left the place and were shouting things like: "go back man! you don't have to come here! we are leaving anyway! go back and drink that coffee!" to him. 1 Sad mofo!

oh yeah...

We also danced on the roof of the cottage and did some other crazy shit...

That night(and the following night too) I had to sleep on the floor. Fortunately I was prepared for that and I had a camping mattress and a sleeping bag... but unfortunately I wasn't wise enough to bring a pillow too:(

Needless to say I didn't sleep very well.

Saturday wasn't as wild a day as the others(drank some 1 star jallu with coke). We played a game of "Captain Park's imaginary polar expedition"(I won) and drank some more beer and listened to music. I even played some booty music but it didn't last long because the majority of the crowd didn't liked it.

When 1 of the girls was finally warming a little towards me(might be just my imagination or the alcohol she had drank) this strange guy decided to target me as his next victim/listener for an exhaustingly long and stupid monologue... And all I said to him was that "huljutella"(kassejaan) is a very nice finnish verb. Being the gentleman I am I didn't have the courage to stop his monologue about his daughter "Hulina" and about this video he had shot in Rovaniemi. When he finally ended his ramblings the girl I was talking about earlier had already went to sleep:( Just typical!

This strange guy had also said some mystical shit to Hannu... I think it went kinda like this: "You have the blood of a tiger! You only have to learn how to tame it! There are 2 kinds of people: creators and destroyers and you are definitely a creator!"

Sunday arrived and I finally left the place on a train with Philip and Ilkka.

Overall it was a very hilarious weekend but as I wrote earlier it was also very taxing. I'm glad that it is over but I'm also very happy that Hannu invited me and that I decided to go.

Next wednesday I'm leaving this rotten grey city for a 1 week trip to Hamburg and Berlin.

I visited the flight terminal today and I saw(from a bus) Mj there. At first I didn't even recognize her because she looked so angry... She told me(in an sms) that she had been ill the whole midsummer week and I think she probably has a stressing job too. I feel little sorry for her.

This is a very busy week for me. I have promised to meet up with many of my friends this week... Gonna do some shirt printing with Hannu and some other shit too.

Ok nuff said.

see ya

Midsummer!
Hello!

I'm going to spend the following 3 days + this one at Hannu's summer cottage(probably a big house with a wc and all that). We are going to celebrate midsummer by getting as drunk as we can! There are going to be 14 persons but some of them arrive tomorrow.

A year ago we tried to party here in Helsinki but almost all of the bars were closed. We ended up in this place called Ale Pub which is this horrible place dedicated for teenagers and hillbillies...

I'm not gonna do the same mistake twice!

Normally I don't celebrate midsummer at all. It is one of these compulsory finnish drunk fests which I'm not very fond of.

I ordered some records from this place called stereofonica. I don't remember if I have mentioned this before or not? Well it took them 64 days to send me the records and they sent me only 4 out of eight records(the others were deleted or something)! Pretty wack isn't it? I wrote a reclamation email to them and they responded today: They will send me 1 missing record absolutely free of charge and I don't have to pay the posting costs for my next order. Pretty nice but still I will wait/think for a second or 2 before I order anything from them again.

Anyways... I have to leave soon so I just wanted to say happy midsummer to each and everyone of you!

Ill Janne
