Shalom Brothers And Sisters

Yah our mighty one, gave us a commandment in the torah (law, instructions first five books of the bible).  Stating that we are to wear tassels / fringes on the four corners of our Garments.  This is done so that we may look upon the tassels and remember the commandments of YAH.

Numbers 15:37 And YAH spake unto Moses, saying,

38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the YAH, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be SET APART unto YAH.

41 I
am YAH  your MIGHTY ONE, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your FATHER: I am
YAH.

Deuteronomy  22:12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou covers thyself.

Yahoshua the Messiah wore fringes

Matthew 9:19 And YAHOSHUA arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

The word HEM comes from the Greek word Kraspedon which MEANS A FRINGE OR TASSEL. (STRONG'S #2899)
Our messiah kept this law.

Some Hebrews teach that we no longer need to wear the Fringes because now the commandments are in our Hearts as part of the New Covenant.  That's NOT SO, Yah never abolished this law, you will not find one scripture that says "You shall not wear your fringes because the law in now on your heart.  They misapply Jeremiyah 31: which tells us this:

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith YAH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAH:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YAH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their FATHER, and they shall be my CHILDREN.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YAH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Yah says when the new covenant takes effect all Israel will know him and his laws will be in our hearts.  What is meant by this is, the laws of Yah will be our nature it will be a part of who we are.  But Yah laws is suppose to be on our heart and mind.  His laws is forever on the heart of the righteous.

Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Psalms 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his might one is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Proverbs 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

Isaiah 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Job 22:22 Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

Yah's law is upon our hearts now, and  the commandment of the fringes still remain.  You can't use Jeremiyah 31 as an excuse to be disobedient to Yah.  Our fringes should be wore on our garments.   Israelite Heritage now have fringes available, check the media page for more information, http://www.hebrewisraelites.org/media.htm . They are easy to attach to your clothing.  You can pin them on with a safety pin or have them sewed to your garment.  They can be long or short.  YOU MUST WEAR THEM on the four corners of your garment.  The corners are located on the sides.  Below I have included a couple pictures of one of my shirts with Fringes attached to it.  This should give you an idea of how to wear them.

If you wear fringes (ALREADY) send US a picture to so we can add it to this article, and others can see how we are to keep this commandment.

Sisters if you wear tassels on your skirts/ dresses please send a picture of that, so other sisters may know the proper way of wearing them.

Close-up of tassels on the left side of the shirt.  One on each corner

Fringes come in all kinds of designs, some are braided together, some are put into knots and some are long blue hanging strings.
The design is not important, the important thing is that you wear them.  They can be worn on T-shirts .

Ancient Israelites being taken Captive look CLOSELY at the bottom of their garments, they have fringes on the four corners.

Israelites in Babylon, notice the fringes at the bottom of their garments

REMEMBER BROTHERS AND SISTERS THIS IS A COMMANDMENT FROM YAH. Wear them with the pride of YAH, let them dangle and blow in the wind. Anybody
