State Fantasy Math 2003

I want to welcome all of you to the 2003 State Convention's (un)Official Fantasy Math League. This is a new thing, so I want to try to lay down some ground rules so there is SOME organization to this whole ordeal.

First of all, the draft will be done, like previously stated, at 3:00 (EST) on Sunday March 23rd. We are going to have 8 rounds of 8 teams with alternating draft order (ie: Team A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, H, G, F, E, D, C, B, A, A, B, C...). The draft order will be detirmined randomly, shortly before the actual draft, I have an idea how, but if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

Scoring: Each team will draft 8 players with the above system, but you can only play 7 at a time. Each time will be playing 2 Calculus, 2 Alpha, 2 Theta, and 1 Utility (any division) at any given time, while having one person idly be sitting on the bench, not accumulating points. Transactions can be made between tests by contacting me, I will let you know how and when you can do this while at the convention when we get closer to it.

Your final score with be detirmined by the sum of the 3 rounds of topic tests and twice the individual round. Each round's composite score will be formed by the sum of the scores of the 7 ACTIVE players for that specific round. Scores for each player will be detirmined using the formula 10/(sqrt(p))+120(s)/(w), where "s" is the person's score, "w" is the winning score for that test, and "p" is the place the person received on the test. Note: In the case of a tie, p will be the AVERAGE of the highest and lowest places of the people in that tie. This is to commend the winner of a hard test, like Calculus Apps, over the many many winners of an easy test, like Limits.
Our draft has already started, congratulations and good luck to all coaches. Feel free to make trades, waiver deals, etc. Just let me know by IMing me and emailing me (in case I don't see the IM and I'm away).
