Speech Delivered on Thursday:
Hello Dunsmuir this is your president Nicole. I want to talk to you about the next event that is coming up, Cops for Cancer. Now you may not think that cancer is a big deal, but it is responsible for a lot of the deaths in the US, second only to heart disease. About 85 million people have cancer around the world. That means that if Dunsmuir represented the world, ten to eleven of us would have cancer. In 2001, around 37 million people, which is about the population of Canada, died of cancer. Cancer is not just a big deal, it is a huge deal. If you want to shave your head, then come to Room 212 at lunch. You can come dye your hair for four dollars. You can even just watch everyone else for two dollars. You money goes toward research for a cure, informing people on cancer treatment, supporting those who have cancer, and educating the world about prevention of cancer. So go to the gym for Cops for Cancer on October 15th to help win the battle against cancer. Thank you.
