Apparently, some who have signed up as "experts" have little or no understanding of the purpose and function of Askme.com. This has, in part, led to much of the conflict present on the board. So, being the compassionate teacher that I am, I am going to explain to you how Askme.com works, so that everyone here will be "without excuse."
"AskMe.com is an online information and communications service provided by AskMe Corporation, providing a large-scale, person-to-person question & answer forum. All information is provided on a volunteer basis by users of this Web site. Users of this Web site have varying levels of knowledge;AskMe Corporation does not certify accuracy of any information or certify that any level of expertise relevant to that information has been met."

From this quote, we derive the following:
The purpose of Askme.com is to provide *information* about various topics and subject matters.
Volunteers have varying levels of *knowledge*. Again, this implies the function of the boards, which is to provide information (i.e., answers to questions).
Askme.com is a "question and answer forum." People who have questions pertaining to a particular topic post their question on the appropriate board. If I have a question about gardening, I go to the Lawn & Garden board. If I have a question about mythology, I go to the Mythology & Folklore board. If I have a question about philosophy, I go to the Philosophy board. If I have a question about dentistry, I go to the Dentistry board. If I have a question about Christianity, I go to the Christianity board. Get the idea?
The "Christianity board," then, is in reality "a board to ask questions pertaining to the topic of Christianity." It's not a "Christian fellowship" board. It's not a "Christians only" board. It's not a "Christian board" the way a song might be a "Christian song" (like Amazing Grace) or a book might be a "Christian book" (like those silly "Left Behind" books). It's neither a "pro-Christianity" board nor an "anti-Christianity" board. It's simply a "Christianity" board, and each individual "expert" may be "pro" or "anti" Christian (or neither, for that matter).
Of course one should expect to find mostly Christians on this board, since mostly Christians are interested in talking about Christianity. But you should also expect to find some "non-Christians," and even some "anti-Christians." That's how Askme.com is designed. The only expectations placed on those who would be "experts" on the Christianity board are that they have some sort of knowledge about the topic of Christianity, and that they don't lie about who they are. Adhering to the tenets of Christianity is not a requirement on this board any more than worshipping Zeus is a requirement on the Mythology board.
For those of you who post questions: Whenever you receive an answer from an "expert," you should be open-minded, but don't just blindly accept whatever you're told. THINK. I know, thinking critically requires work, but consider the alternative.
