RUBBISH FIRE - On Tuesday July 1 at approx. 22:30 hrs, 9125, 9118, and 9123 responded to a report of a metal building on fire at Triple T Trash on S. Madison in Junction City. Upon arrival, a rubbish fire was burning in a vacant concrete lot and no structures were threatened. The fire was extinguished and we were on scene about 30 minutes.
FIELD FIRE - On Thursday June 26 at approx. 14:51 hrs, 9122, 9115, and 9126 responded to a report of a field on fire behind Burr's Tree Service on old Rt. 50 south of Sandoval. Upon arrival, a fire was burning in a large wood chip pile. The fire was extinguished and we were on scene about 45 minutes.
VEHICLE FIRE - On Saturday June 21 at approx. 18:15 hrs, 9125 and 9123 responded to a report of a vehicle on fire at Rt. 50 and Clinton St. in Sandoval. Upon arrival a small pickup truck engine compartment was fully involved. No injuries reported.
STRUCTURE FIRE - On Saturday June 7 at approx. 06:10 hrs, 9125, 9118 and 9123 responded to a report of a building fire at the former Triple T Trash company building at 8th and Madison in Junction City. Old tires were put inside the building and set on fire. While the tire fire created a lot of smoke, there was no damage to the concrete building itself. We were on scene for about a half hour.
Memorial Day Weekend - The holiday weekend was a busy time. Between 14:00 hrs on Friday May 23 until 08:00 hrs on Tuesday May 27, we ran 15 calls with 7 of those being on Saturday alone.
MVC - On Sunday May 26th at approx. 23:50 hrs, 9124, 9125, 9121, and 9123 responded to a report of a vehicle accident on US Rt. 50 and Jolliff Bridge Rd. Upon arrival a vehicle had hydroplaned on standing water that covered the highway from heavy rains and slid into a ditch. No one was injured. We were on scene about 1 1/2 hours directing traffic as RT 50 was extremely hazardous due to the water levels.
MVC - On Sunday May 26th at approx. 20:00 hrs, 9121, 9125, and 9123 responded to a report of a vehicle accident in the 400 block of Van Buren in Junction City in which the vehicle struck a home. Upon arrival a pickup truck had left the road at a high rate of speed, struck a tree, and then struck the home. The lone driver was taken to St. Marys with apparent minor injuries.
VEHICLE FIRE - On Saturday May 24th at approx. 23:50 hrs, 9125 and 9122 responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 28400 block of Junction Rd. Upon arrival the fire was out. We were on scene about 20 minutes.
MUTUAL AID-STRUCTURE FIRE - On Wednesday April 30 at approx. 13:34hrs, 9125 responded with crew of 5 as mutual aid to the Centralia Fire Department who was on scene of a house fire in the 1000 block of south Elm St. in Centralia. 9125 was assigned to cover the East Side Station. 9125 was called up to the scene to assist with fire attack, manpower, and overhaul. Centralia Fire Protection District also responded an engine, 9814, and manpower to the scene to assist the City as well. Odin Fire was moved up to cover Sandoval while Centralia District had additional crews on standby along with Hoffman Fire in the event of another fire in Centralia. We were on scene for about 2 1/2 hours.
STRUCTURE FIRE - On Thursday April 24 at approx. 16:10hrs, 9125 and 9123 responded to a report of a vacant home on fire on Rt. 51 in Sandoval across from the Taylor Maid Drive-In. Small fire found confined to around a window with extension to the interior and exterior walls. Fire was extinguished and walls overhauled. We were on scene about 45 minutes.
MUTUAL AID-STRUCTURE FIRE - On Thursday April 24 at approx. 09:40hrs, 9125 responded with crew of 4 as mutual aid to Centralia Fire Department who was on scene of a kitchen fire at Frankie's Green Grill in downtown Centralia. 9125 was assigned to cover the East Side Station while Hoffman Fire was called to cover the West Side Station. Centralia Fire Protection District responded an engine to the scene to assist the City.
MUTUAL AID-STRUCTURE FIRE - On Friday April 11 at approx. 21:20hrs, 9126 responded with crew of 5 as mutual aid to Centralia Fire Protection District who was on scene of a house fire on Gladys Drive just off Green St. Road in rural Central City. 9126 staged and supplied water to Odin Fire, 9420, which also responded as mutual aid. The home suffered fire damage to an upstairs bedroom and smoke and water damage throughout.
MVC - On April 9 at approx. 17:00hrs, 9124, 9125, 9121, and 9123 responded to a report of a 3 car motor vehicle crash in front of Studio 50 on U.S. 50 east of Sandoval. One vehicle had slowed for a vehicle in front that was waiting to make a left turn into Studio 50 when it was struck in the rear by a pickup truck. An SUV then crashed into the pickup truck. One person was transported to Salem Hospital with minor injuries.
STRUCTURE FIRE - On March 9 at approx. 18:30hrs, 9125, 9118, 9126, 9123, 9124, and 9115 responded to a report of an attic fire at 2276 Ticklen Rd in rural Odin with flames visible. Upon arrival, light smoke was issuing from the attic and the homeowner had kept the fire in check with a garden hose. Odin 9420, first on scene, and Patoka 9615 provided mutual aid. The fire was confined to the attic space and insulation which was removed. We were on scene about 3 1/2 hours.
CHIMNEY FIRE - On February 29 at approx. 17:15hrs, 9118, 9124, 9123, and 9125 responded to a report of a chimney fire in the 400 block of Van Buren in Junction City. Upon arrival, the fire located around the vent cap had self-extinguished. The cap was removed, the area cleaned, and the roof wetted. We were on scene about 1 hour.
VEHICLE FIRE - On February 29 at approx. 17:10hrs, 9125, 9123, 9118, and 9124 responded to a report of a vehicle on fire next to the Taylor Maid Drive-In in Sandoval. Upon arrival, and SUV had fire in the engine and passenger compartment. Extension to the building did not occur. We were on scene about 30 minutes.
MVC - On February 9 at approx. 16:40hrs, 9124 and 9123 responded to a report of 1 vehicle motor vehicle accident on Norton Rd just south of Rt. 50. Upon arrival the lone driver was out of the vehicle and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for evaluation of apparent minor injuries.
OVEN FIRE - On January 28 at approx. 05:10hrs, 9125, 9118, and 9123 responded to a report of an oven on fire at 311 S. Maple in Sandoval. Upon arrival, the fire was out. A pan left in the oven ignited when the oven was turned on. The oven was removed and smoke ejected from the home. We were on scene about 40 minutes.
BRUSH FIRE - On January 26 at approx. 20:00hrs, 9122 and 9115 responded to a report of woods on fire at the intersection of Norton and Cemetary Rds. southwest of Sandoval. Upon arrival a large brush pile was burning unattended. Fire was extinguished and we were on scene about 30 minutes.
STRUCTURE FIRE - On January 16 at approximately 21:30hrs, 9122 responded to a report of a yard on fire in the 400 block of South Main in Sandoval which was reported to be out. Upon arrival 9122 encountered a debris pile on fire on the porch with extension to the exterior of the home. 9125 was requested to respond. The occupant of the home was removed as the house was filled with smoke. The fire was extinguished and smoke ejected from the residence. We were on scene for about 45 minutes.
MVC - On January 8 at approximately 06:30hrs, 9124, 9121, 9125, 9123 and 9120 responded to a report of a 2 vehicle head-on collision on Rt. 50 one mile east of Shattuc Rd. Upon arrival a pickup truck and a passenger car were both in the north ditch with heavy front end damage to both vehciles. The driver of the truck was taken to St. Mary's for apparent minor injuries but unfortunately the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and had to be extricated from the vehicle. The State Police and Clinton County Sheriff's Department are investigating the cause but heavy rain is suspected to have been a contributing factor.
STRUCTURE FIRE - On December 31 at approx. 19:00 hrs, 9125, 9118, 9123, 9126, and 9124 responded to 842 Red Stripe Rd for a structure fire. Upon arrival fire was venting from the east roof of the split level home and moving into a converted living space. With the aid of Odin,9418, and Centralia Fire Protection Districts,9813, we were able to halt the spread of the fire into the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas. We were on scene for about 3 hours.

MUTUAL AID-STRUCTURE FIRE - On December 27 at approx. 09:45 hrs, 9125 responded to Odin as mutual aid for a structure fire at 507 Wortby. The home was fully involved upon the arrival of Odin firefighters. Salem Fire also provided mutual aid. We were on scene for about an hour.
