Extrication TrainingThe Sandoval Fire Protection District continually trains to be prepared for any situation. This is just a glimpse of some of the extrication training we do in the event of a motor vehicle accident. As you will see we train to employ numerous techniques during extrication because you just never know what types of problems you may encounter.

Cutters
The hydraulic cutters have become just as important in extrication as the Jaws of Life. They can be employed in numerous ways such as door removal, roof removal, and aiding in the dash roll to just name a few. |
Doors Removed
As you can see, victim access is granted with the employment of the Jaws, the cuttters, the porta powers, the hand saw or any and all of the tools working in unison. |
Dash Roll
Not only do we train performing the dash roll by the usual methods such as the ram, but we also train on alternate methods such as using the Jaws in conjuction with the cutters to perform the dash roll to gain victim access. |
