This is just my ramblings... so if you don't really care, just skip on back to the main page and do what ya please.
You know what has been on my mind lately? Changes. And people. People affect each others lives. Change alters us also. When you think of it, people change each others lives. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's not. It's just amazing the impact that anothers actions may have on your life.
But I wasn't thinking about people's changes today, I was thinking about, well, I guess how our world has changed. Our society and whatnot. I've only been alive for 15 years, (well, 16 in a few weeks). But even in that small span of time I have noticed a lot of changes. If Casey ever read this I'm sure the thought "she thinks too much" has ran through his head by now. Well, some people don't think enough and I'm just making up for it...
My mom and her boyfriend Nick came home from the store tonight and I went out to help them carry in the groceries. (Ain't I kind?) Well, my brother (being the mature 17 yr old he is) asked my Ma to buy Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Yes, I am going off into a tangent about CEREAL. Or rather cereal toys. I remember when I was a kid, I ate some cocoa pebbles. But not before digging way down to the bottom of the box (why didn't we just open the other end?) to get out a neato Flinstones figurine. (You know, Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble were big time endorsers back then.) And I took this prize (after winning it from my brother in the "he got the last one!" battle that my mom refereed) and brought it to SHOW AND TELL Remember show and tell?
Well, anyway, as I was carrying this box of cereal into my house, I noticed attached to the front was a cd. It was a game cd, for the game Clue. Whatever happened to getting little Fred Flinstones, or color changing spoons?!?!?! This happened to me at Taco Bell also. I ordered a kids meal (I'm not crazy or immature...) and the toy was a disk with a video game for the computer on it. Whatever happened to getting COOL toys, not some little disk you put into your computer! Technology is taking over 5 yr olds (or, in my case 15 yr olds) lives now?
You can't play a disk, you can't bring it to show and tell. You'd look stupid. (you'd also look stupid if you asked your sophomore english teacher when show and tell was.... hey, I didn't know, okay?!) You'd stand up there and be like, "This is a cool game." And then little Bobby in the back row would yell out "Suuuuure, sure it is four-eyes!" and you have no way to prove it! This is upsetting me, why are things changing so much??
Nowadays, everyone is sooo into technology and crap. It's sad that at the young age of 15 we could miss "the good old days". I miss seeing X-Men cartoons and Ninja Turtles, okay. Enough Poke Digi crap. (No offense to anyone who likes it.) I was perfectly content with Bugs'N Daffy.... Tweety and Slyvester..... Sigh. I think I'm done now, when I started writing this I was all serious, but I started cracking jokes along the way and I'm too thrown to finish. So just think about how things are changing!
If you have anything else that has changed you would like to ramble about, let me know, and I'll post it on here. Or if you wish to comment on my ramblings.
Thanks, and stay the way you are! (Unless you're a mean, ungrateful jerk of a person, then take a deep breath, smile, and relax already.)
