Françoise is happy to see Ray & Vlasta again.

Nov 30: Françoise @
La Petite Auberge des Îles

We wanted something light for our first dinner on SXM, so we settled on La Belle Époque. They were busy when we arrived Saturday @ 7:00 p.m. We grabbed a table out front (no threat of any rain shower) and ordered 2 beers from the tap (pression). The Stella Artois (Belgian) was refreshingly delicious. We took our time with the menu to enjoy the ambience and scenery. We agreed to split a 14 inch thin crust Reine pizza (tomato sauce, cheese, ham & mushrooms) for €10. These pizzas would even do well in the Chicagoland area (home of some of the greatest pizza joints on this planet). We paid a net total of €15 and added a well deserved gratuity for attentive and friendly service.

John & Sugarae Kimball graciously asked Andy & Cheryl to
save 2 of the lobsters from Friday's lobstah fest for Ray &
Vlasta. South Portland ME residents John & Sugarae again
had brought down 24 live Maine lobstahs in lieu of clothes.

We had met Ian and Kim Shaw at Baywatch on Dec 2nd during our 3-hour lunch there and they invited us to come to the Sunset Beach Bar for their going away bash starting @ 5:00 p.m. Ian and Kim (originally from the UK) were leaving on Wed the 4th for Ontario, Canada. Ian had lived on SXM for 12 years and felt it was time for a change and live closer to 'home'. Their son Sam had never been off SXM before. Good luck to you, Kim and Ian. Stay warm!!!
Vlasta and Ray had to leave a bit early for a dinner engagement at La Gondola in Sandy Ground.
