CMG (Crystal Meth Graduate)
Revised, written 1/7/06
Sign me up, cooks needed right away
Try sales and service, benefits and pay
Poison your mind, it is so much fun
You can’t blame me when the damage is done
Chorus:
I’m a crystal meth graduate with experience too
This job must be too good to be true
Plenty of dryers in my run-down home
Really don’t care if the neighborhood explodes
It’s so easy to steal the supplies that I need
Anhydrous ammonia, Sudafed, and bleach
Farmers get mad but why should I care?
I made them change the laws, but life isn’t fair
Toxic clouds on the back roads at night
Drive on through, become paralyzed and blind
You will suffer from what I have caused
I’m not bothered by your discriminating laws
I’m a genius of modern chemistry
A hopeless addiction is a golden ticket for me
Now I am sky high and my house is gone
Do not understand what went wrong
Coda:
CMG, CMG, I wish they would leave
CMG, CMG, who needs a PhD?
My personal thoughts on this horrible drug epidemic. It amazes me that this crap is so easy to make, anyone becomes a genius of modern chemistry. Southern Illinois has a real bad meth problem, a lady drove through a cloud of the meth labs and was paralyzed as a result. Things are out of control, and now a person cannot even buy Sudafed anymore thanks to these meth makers. They show no disregard for endangering innocent lives when their labs go sky high. This song looks at an underground network of schools that teach third grade dropouts to cook and distribute this crap.
