Her lecture covered the concept of transnationalism with references to immigration.

The Summer Bridge students listened intently and had some well thought out questions at the end of the lecture.

After Dr. Pallares was finished, Summer Bridge coordinator Gloria Monaghan spoke to the students about the importance of good note taking skills.

The final presentation of the day was by Belia Gonzalez, a counselor at LARES and coordinator of the LARES Mentorship program.

Belia discussed the need for good time management, at all levels of student life. She then proceeded to talk about the Mentorship program and invited students to investigate the benefits of that program.
