SAILOR MOON

Sailor Scouts

Okami: Wow... I used to be so overly-obsessive with this show. I don't really watch it anymore, but I will give the credit for me getting into it to Ryne and Kitsune. (thanks, guys) I know so much about it it's not funny. Well... basic plot summary:

It is definately your basic anime plot line; I won't lie. There has to be some sadistic power-hungry freak that wants to drown Tokyo or Earth of its energy in order to then rule the universe. (because, of course you know, *common knowledge* that one mustn't get energy from any other planet [shrugs])

Well, a few millenia ago, apparently we inhabited the moon. (riiiight...) And there was a beautiful kingdom that was peaceful yada yada yada. So some freak comes and destroys the peace. The "good people" (i.e. Sailor Moon) are saved in these strange crystals, and shot to Earth to be born again at a later date inside different bodies (sounds whacked when I retell it. Guess I'm no Nayoko :)

And then Sailor Moon is reborn on Earth, and is there to save the day, even though she's barely old enough to wear a bra. Heavy burden on an 8th grader, wouldn't you say? Yeah. So she has a talking cat, and finds out she will eventually rule Neo-Tokyo. (Nods, waiting for someone to laugh) She meets up with her fellow princesses of the other planets, (i.e. Sailor Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter etc) And they fight off evil together.

I can't forget Tuxedo Mask, heartthrob in the series... he's the wannabe Sailor Earth... His name in Japanese means Earth, actually but, Meh. Yeah. Whatta hottie. Anyhoo...

Good show. Much fun. Should probably watch beyond when Rini comes, but you know, High School... no time... Oh well. I will some day. Maybe someone can tell me about it.

Kitsune: Hey Kitsune here, just thought I'd add my two cents about the show I too, used to be overly obsessed with. Ok, how to describe this show hmmmmm... well repetitive, that's the word I'm looking for repetitive. You see, as much as I do love this show you've got to understand that there are cool beginnings, cool endings and a lot of junk in the middle. I'm not saying that it's bad, I'm just saying that (for the first series anyway) things have a tendency to drag on for two or three months or so. The farther you go in the series the cooler it gets though. I personally like (giggle) the undubbed version of the Sailor Starlights.
