Raasay Heritage Trust offers a free genealogical facility for descendents of displaced islanders from Raasay, Rona, Fladda and Eilean Tighe.
Our largest researched family tree now contains over 8,000 names and continues to grow on almost a daily basis. Enquiries have come from places as far apart as Venezuela to Timaru from Sydney, Australia to Sydney, Nova Scotia.
We have been able to unite lost branches of families, in fact, some of them, after travelling thousands of miles to the home of their ancestors, meeting in our small heritage room, yet living only a few miles apart.
