Rules recently covered in the Daily Oral Language lessons:
- Commas are used to separate individual words or groups of words in a series. Ex. We ate corn, beans, and beef for supper.
- Double negative is a sentence which contains 2 negative words. This type of sentence takes on a meaning opposite of what is intended. Ex.I haven't got no money.
- Always use a comma before the word and in a compound sentence. Ex. We will swim in the pool, and we will get lots of exercise.
- Titles of books are underlined.
- Titles of magazines, short stories, poems are in quotations
- Three forms of irregular verbs
