"Gypsy Lady"

The Gypsy Lady's travels take her far and wide,
Oceans of blue sky wash over her.
She wanders in dreams on silent nights,
Whispers her secrets to the benevolent moon,
Holds court with her ladies, the stars.
She kisses tenderly the children,
Tells them the beauty of love.
She worships mankind with her light,
Hoping to share her secrets with a
Gypsy Man.
Together they travel,
On and on in happiness.
There is no heaven, no hell,
Only love.
The Gypsy Lady knows.

"Gypsy Man"

The Gypsy Man wanders,
Joking, laughing, storytelling,
His heart open wide,
His voice pure and clear,
Loving all who cross his path.
He worships womankind with his light,
Hoping to share his laughter with a
Gypsy Lady.
Together they travel,
On and on in happiness,
There is no heaven, no hell,
Only love.
The Gypsy Man knows.

"The Cost of Hate"

The darkness of the moonlight,
Hides the silent tears,
Lying on my cheeks,
Like dewdrops in the dawn.
Tears falling for what I lost,
To the burning sun...
A gentle soul, a kind heart,
Hardened to me like ice,
For the horrible thing I said.
Evil words fell from my lips,
A polluted, wicked waterfall,
Landing in a muddy puddle at my feet.
And I threw my shoes away,
Walked barefoot in the sand,
Clean and white, to where,
The darkness of the moonlight,
Hides the silen tears,
Lying on my cheeks.

"Colors"

Brush the world
With a rainbow of colors,
Red and white and black,
Blue and green and yellow.
Separating people,
Breaking up lands,
So nothing can leave,
Its small, tight space,
And no other color,
Can enter.
And the world will be,
A pitiful place...
For when the colors
Don't mix, don't mingle,
Then black is black,
And white is white,
And there are no such things,
As rainbows.

"Speechless"

There is so much to say,
And not enough words to say it...

Fiddle-dee-dee,
Fiddle-dee-dum,
Jabberwocky,
And gubble bum.

I'm a child again,
Not knowing how to speak,
I feel so much,
Have so much to say.

But there are no words,
To tell the world of heaven,
Of the happiness of silence,
So I sit here, speechless.

"A Moment"

The old sun and the new moon meet,
On their way to other places,
And greet each other in a glory of color...
Then they separate,
And the moment is just a memory,
Of pure delight

"Where Faeries Go"

Remember the place where faeries glow,
Remember the place where faeries grow,
Remember the place where faeries go...

Where lilacs and roses
Drench the senses
Water burbles and sings
In streams and brooks
Whispers of wind
Caress the skin
Wonders of light
Fill the night
Darkness caresses the dawn
Winter winks at Spring
And Fall holds Summer
Close to her heart.

Dance in the place where faeries glow,
Dream of the place where faeries grow,
Go to the place where faeries go.

"In a Lonely Moment"...For Tom

In a lonely moment,
Missing you.
My heart aches so
I can barely breathe.
Hunger for love
Led me to you.
Soul to soul we met,
And I have no regrets.
Love sparkles and shines,
Like the diamond,
In my ring...
Like your smile.
Love has taught me much,
Joy and duty and singing
In harmony.
And fear.
In a lonely moment,
Missing you,
My heart aches so
I can barely breathe.

"For My Daughter, not yet Conceived"

A baby's cheek,
So soft and sweet,
My reverent finger,
Brushes it lightly.
She sleeps...long lashes,
Resting on her soft cheek.
I hold my breath in wonderment,
Watching her tiny movements.
She sighs and half smiles.
My heart quivers with joy.
Oh, my sweet girl,
How I wish you were here.

"Dreaming"

Dreaming of a place,
Where all are as one,
Each cobblestone cries with joy,
At the diversity of life.
Dreaming of a reality,
Where love it the ruler,
That all are judged by,
And gold is a pretty color.
Dreaming of a time,
When dreams come true,
Peace and harmony reign,
And the moon smiles.

"Peace"

A floating sensation...
I get the taste of,
Cotton candy in my mouth,
When I think of peace.

So light does it feel,
Not heavy, not dark.
I could fly,
To the moon.

I hear Christmas bells,
And reverent voices,
Lifted towards the sky,
Singing for pure joy.

I feel all these things,
This floating sensation,
And cannot understand,
War.

"Ah, Love"

Today, a rainy day,
He brought me a sunflower.
I made him chili,
Excellent comfort food.
Last week, I danced like a fool.
He laughed and hugged me,
Overcome with love.
The feeling was mutual.
Last night I slipped into bed,
Folding myself around his warm body,
Placed a tender kiss on his shoulder,
And he slept on and I smiled.
Tomorrow I'll look into his eyes,
And my breath will stop,
And we'll kiss and sigh,
He'll shiver and hold me.
And next week, perhaps,
He'll sing sweetly to me,
After we've made love,
And my heart and voice will join in.
And next year we'll wonder,
Where all the time went to,
But we'll be smiling, and maybe,
He'll bring me a daisy.

"Ode to Cubs '98"

Gracie's grin,
Sosa's smile,
Cracking bats,
Balls flying miles...
Beer and hot dogs,
Screaming fans,
Standing on base,
Lance with humor plans...
Ivy, the last outfielder,
Performing many saves,
Running across home plate,
Henry laughs and waves...
Umps grunting strike,
Sharp pitcher's eyes,
Lightening fast arms,
Win many a prize...
Glove held aloft,
Mickey's catch is gold,
Gaetti's greatness,
A wonder to behold...
Leaping, throwing shortstops,
Catching, hitting heroes,
Each and every noble man,
Smiles as big as rainbows...
Throwing out a runner,
Catchers beam with pleasure,
Steady Riggleman,
Strength under pressure...
Harry's holy cow,
Jack's hey hey,
Hearts worn on sleeves, Oh what a day...
Strong as a team,
No matter the score,
Losing with honor,
Winning spirits soar...
Wrigley Field,
Grass defining green,
Cub's baseball,
Best I've ever seen!
