There is a lot of good Flash animation in the world, believe it or not. This is a collection of some of the most funny, profound, original, or just fucking cool Flash I've found during my journeys at Newgrounds (which, BTW, is the best site, EVER) and various other places.
Sack Smash 2003, smash evil gnomes with your giant sack! And jump off bridges!
South Park Music Player, featuring various cool songs from the show. Pointless trick: if you play the first song and continually hit "play" on the right-click menu, you can listen to all the songs at once. :-)
Pimp's Quest, a funny game featuring several modes of play.
Alien Hominid, you UFO has crashed, and the FBI is after you. Time to take them out!
The Skullkid, experience the fun of an office rampage!
Gravity Ball 2, "a unique paddle ball game with gravity, featuring various objectives and obstacles. Break bricks, shoot hoops, and get rings, amongst other things." Very addictive.
KABOOM! Ever dreamed of being a suicide bomber? Now's your chance!
Ant City, enjoy burning ants with a magnifying glass? Then take it to the next level, my friend, as you use the world's largest magnifying glass to fry pedestrians on the street.
Monster Poolside Sumo, knock your opponent out of the arena with your inflatable inner tube.
Combat Instinct, a VERY nice space shooter. Also check out Combat Instinct 2 and Combat Instict 3,which just keep getting better and better! 2 is awesome, and my only gripe with 3 is how damned hard it is. I've spent several hours on level three, and still can't beat it!
Jessica Alba Bubble Bath, a variation on the popular dress-up game. I've never understood why everyone likes them so much (probably because of the naked women), but this one is actually fairly good, IMO. Be sure to experiment with the rubber duck!
Mr. Hankey Constuction Set, build your own Mr. Hankey! For those of you that don't watch South Park, Mr. Hankey is a living turd that makes appearances from time to time.
Celebemon, What would happen if George W. Bush mated with a Bulbasaur? or If Jesus Christ knocked up a Jigglypuff? Well find out in CELEBeMON!
Pol, an oldskoo arcade-style game with an odd twist.
BarbJump, a fun jump rope game with a deadly twist.
Timmy Hunter 2001, a nice shooter where you kill Timmy from South Park.
Kill the Old Man From Zelda, "You remember the OLD MAN from the game zelda? He would give you weapons, but most of the time he would turn you down and tell you that you had to go do something else before he gave you good stuff. Didn't that piss you off? Didn't you just want to kill him?"
Absolem, follow the fortunes of Emma, the Nordin royal guard, in this all-out Flash RPG.
Malapa's Challenge, take control of Malapa, a psychically gifted young man who battles a series of dark gods returned to Earth for vengeance.
HK Mobs, They got your girl, and you gotta chop off some limbs to get her back!
Secret Agent, test your knowledge of Afghanistan, bin Laden, and the Taliban. Kinda of annoying how if you screw up you have to start all over, which gets boring very quickly.
Taipan 3000, travel through space and make money. Use that money to make your ship more powerful. Use your ship to destroy the enemy! Highly addictive.
3D Pong, a great game but hard as fuck. I've only managed to score a few times.
The Grim Reaper Show, a funny parody of various religions. Sure am glad I'm an agnostic... although, being reincarnated as a left testicle IS kinda intruiging... Part 2, I love that speech at the end.
Ultra Ocho, "Ultra Ocho is a superhero because scientists put eight bionic hearts in his body on a dare. No one can take him, so he's a real prick."
Brunch With a Supervillain, "Host James Whackler interviews a few of the world's most notorious villains- and some lame-asses- to uncover the nature of evil. At brunch."
John's Arm, the hilarious tale of a man with a superhero for a right arm. Also see Part 2 and Part 3.
Cartman Teaches, a sweet South Park parody. My money's on Margaret Thatcher. (watch the damn movie if you don't know what I'm talking about)
The Artist, a hilarious look into the life of a Newgrounds artist.
One Ring To Rule Them All 2, I have yet to watch the first part of this LotR spoof, but this is great. I ought to check out the video of that Lenard Nimoy song.
What a Crazy Bitch!, a funny story of a guy trying to pay off a gambling debt. I like the main character, he reminds me of Rocco from Boondock Saints. Also see Part 2.
Meat 4 Vegans: Oreo Feces, a song from a punk band featuring the maker of Pimp's Quest in the games. Yeah, the vocals suck, but I'm a sucker for local music. :-P
Pet Names For Your Penis, not much in the line of animation but the song's hilarious. I'll never forget the time I first heard the utterance of the phrase "pork sword."
Genocide Inc., "the story goes somthing like this: the main character takes it apon himself to, deal punishment to all those people that get on our last nerves."
Soft Outer Crust, a very raw look at the lives of several teenagers. Hilarious and extreme! My fave is episode 11. That is *so* going to be Andy someday!
Yes & No, a funny look at the do's and don'ts of driving.
Giants, a sci-fi deeley about a group of guys fighting a giant monster.
I Help Terrorists...., a parody of those anti-drug commercials about recreational drug use helping terrorists. You know, the ones that cost taxpayers $35 million dollars. Definitely check this one out.
B&W Drama Theatre, it's always nice to see something a little different, especially when it's funny and well executed.
Jim the Cat, Follow Jim and his friends on a series of crazy adventures! Just don't bother Jim while he's enjoying his reefer! Jim the Dick is my personal favorite.
The Salesman, good ol' stick death. You know you'd love to do this in real life.
Toonslayer, the Toonslayer takes out Pikachu! A tad disturbing, though....
The XiaoXiao Series, one of the most well known names on Newgrounds, and some of the best stick figure games and movies in existence. My personal favorite is No. 3.
All Your BLAM!, a funny parody of the All Your Base thing based on crappy Portal entries.
Love, ha, pretty much describe my experiences with women! Gotta download that song.
The Dealer, Are you sick of drugs? Are you sick of raves? Are you sick of degenerate cock sucking asswipes? Don't fret! Biseor and Crazy Luigi have a plan to take care of these morons and earn a little dough while they're at it!"
Chop Stick, It's no XiaoXiao but still damn close.
The Mystery of Britney Spears' Breasts, this documentary provides photographic evidence that her cup size changes radically from show to show, lending credence to the whispers of inflatability.
The Evil News, an absolutely hilareous parody of American media these days!
Frosty: The Lost Footage, "The toon itself is actually kind of cynical and creepy so if you're idealistic about the holidays, better avoid this one." Heh, I love that part at the end with Satan!
Let It Snow, the Taliban are in the middle of training when it begins to snow!
Scrotum the Puppy, an awesome series that started out as a "watch bad things happen to cute stuff" type of movie, then became one of the most well-known names on Newgrounds. Episode 4 is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Tommy Tourettes, a funny Flash rendition of a skit from a radio show. I nearly pissed myself watching this!
Pigeons, hmm, don't really know how to describe this one.... just watch it, bitch! It's hilarious!
BFD, making fun of how local news stations are always hyping up stuff. "10 million watts of raw Doppler power!"
Buttplug, a great board game, fun for the whole family!
Vegeta's Problem, Can a burst of chi solve that nasty constipation problem? DBZ fans should like this one.
Mall Food- Burger Trauma, I don't know who I hate more, register geeks or people with special orders.
Sam Man No. 1, Goku decides to take on Unicron in this silly Transformers/DBZ movie.
A Vagina For Christmas, letters to Santa are always cute, especially those asking for new genitalia. Catchy tune, BTW.
Common Sense, if only all teachers were like this guy.
The Destruction of the World, a very silly anime-style interactive movie. I like the animation in this one, it's drawn rather than rendered.
Mario vs. Sonic: The Duel, who will live and who will die? One of the best video game parodies ever.
Tupac Prequel, the prequel to "How Tupac Was Murdered," which you will find below.
The Menstrual Avenger, a fun-filled superheroine movie. Prepare to be grossed out if you're a guy. I guess a pad really DOES fly away if you put wings on it.
How Many Licks, a parody of those Tootsie Roll commercials. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a lesbian? The world may never know.
The Final Dump, another "funny because it's stupid" animation! Definitely not for the squeamish, though. Heh, it reminds me of Patrick.
You Get What You Pay For, one of those "Priceless" things, about bin Laden. I'm not too fond of Arabs being referred to as "towelheads"... but it's still a funny movie. (could be worse I suppose, he could be calling them dune coons or sand niggers)
Un-named, pointless violence! Massive death! You know you love it. Also check out parts Two and Three.
RPG Cut-Scene Spoof, a really great twist on those sappy RPG cut-scenes. Starts out serious but has a funny ending.
Eddie, a good cheap laugh about a convenience store in the ghetto. "Eddie, why were you having sexual intercourse with tasty frozen desert products?"
Keeblur, a sweet movie about a Keebler elf wreaking havoc. Don't let the extremely long walking scene halfway through discourage you!
Balthor's Tales From Hell, a story of two guys trapped in Hell facing eternal torment. I for one wouldn't mind spending all eternity in the Naked Co-ed Pillow Fight Room.
Miss.Dynamite XIII, this is part of an online manga series, they're all good but I though this one was especially worth mentioning. If you're male, you may not want to watch this! *cringes, actually feeling the pain* Note: At the part where you pick what tools they use, try hitting all of them simultaneously for hilarious results!
The Star Wars Gangsta Rap, "Elite members of the cast of Star Wars prove that they are all natural-born homey g's."
An Empire of One, a funny Star Wars parody of those stupid Army commercials.
Star Wars: Lo Mein, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine go out for Chinese food. "But master...." "Stop calling me buttmaster!"
L5R Wassup, an L5R parody of the infamous Budweiser commercial.
The Gerbil, it's so fucking stupid that it's hilarious! Replay it at least six times and you'll see what I mean.
Taliban Twister, a hilarious parody of the Taliban. There was a bit of controversy over this one because people were complaining that it was a diss to Muslims. But it's not making fun of Muslims, it's making fun of the Taliban! There's a pretty big difference. Because if there's anyone out there that doesn't deserve to be taken seriously, it's the Taliban.
Diplomacy, another one from the guy who made Taliban Twister. I hear this one was played in it's entireity on the Fox News Network. My favorite part is the "Fuck!" from bin Laden.
Golgotha, as I've said many a time, I hate trailers, but this action movie is pretty cool.
Simgirl Ending Movie, the aborted ending to Hentai Simgirl in games. All I gotta say is... DAMN, I love hentai. This is quite the pornographic, so don't watch this is you're offended by that kind of stuff.
The Sniper, a cool action movie that reminds me of Enemy at the Gates.
Gulf War 2, a projection of the likely outcome of of a new war in Iraq. Meant to be taken with a sense of humor, but it could very well happen this way.
Aura, see the author's comments for a better description than I could give.
Rockman Neo, an awesome tribute to the Mega Man series.
Defective, "In an alternate future we live in a military state. We are born, live and die in fortresses called 'compounds'. All of your needs and desired are taken care of as long as you do what is asked of you. It's foolish not to conform when so much is provided for you. It's impossible to escape. Those who don't conform are the defective." This definitely captures the feel of 1984. Pretty much an indicment of popular culture.
Dragon (B), Watch a B fight it out with a spider to save his girl!
Vampire Hunter INA, a VERY good action flic. My only problems were the Sailor Moon look to the heroine and the lack of sound effects. Also see Part 2 and Part 3.
Elemental Warrior 0, a very anime-ish movie (with anime music, no less), but I liked it anyway.
What Happened: Rebirth, don't really know how to describe this one. The beginning of a stick-figure action flic that looks promising. Also see Part 2: Conflict.
Technical Difficulties, "As the year winds down, we start to look at the challenges ahead. We've run across a great piece of Flash media that really says it all. Check it out. It's excellent. Very creative. If you like it, forward it on to good friends who would also resonate to the message." That part halfway through with the Hunt For Red October music is pure tech.
A Pirate's Life, didn't really know whether to file this here or in Funny Movies. "See the voyage of a band of half-witted pirates in search of danger, ale, and of course... treasure."
War, a sweet sci-fi action movie. There's also apparently a comic series of this on the guy's site, but I haven't checked it out.
Barak's "Generous Offers", one of the biggest arguments against the Palastinians is that Ehud Barak (former Israeli Prime Minister) offered them 90% of the West Bank and they walked. This animation breaks down the offer and shows that it isn't quite as generous as certain people would have you believe.
Zodiac, a nice superhero-type movie from the same guy as Castles in the Sky (below). Also see Part 2.
Enlightenment, a sweet poem of a philosophical nature.
The Project, a sweeet action/sci-fi movie about corporations taking over Earth and people rebelling against them. Yes, it has sticks, but in some cases I think it can enhance a movie. Also see Part 2 and the Prologue.
The Philosophy of Liberty, Very straight-forward and educational. Better than school. There are a great many things me and libertarian capitalism disagree on, but I agree with the general concepts presented here.
Recruitment, don't know how to describe this. But I could see a Kolat initiation in L5R going something like this.
Max Payne 3D, a quality stick movie based on the video game. "Payback's a bitch, ain't it?"
Super Console Wars, the Gamecube and XBox battle it out to determine the better system! I'm pissed that there's no PS2 content, but it'd kick both their asses anyway :-)
Urban Legends, "Sex, violence, ghosts... We present some popular urban legends and ask you to determine whether they're fact or fiction." Also check out Part 2: The Dead.
Tien vs. Yamcha, a duel between two of the lesser-known DBZ characters. Very cool reproduction of the video game.
DBZ - MTV, Goku and Vegeta (from DBZ) decide to end the bitterness between them with a fight to the finish. The ending leaves a bit to be desired, but other than that it's good.
Final Fighting Fantasy, an awesome series based on the Final Fantasy series. Definitely one of my favorite series of all time. "An experiment in Flash storytelling following the main characters from Final Fantasy just after the games have ended. FFF takes some of the continuous themes seen throughout the games and puts the characters against the possibility that they themselves are now destroying the balance, and balance must be restored..."
Betrayal™, a story about a guy that catches his girlfriend cheating.
Salesman, a nice short that reminds of of Silence of the Lambs in a way.
Gohan's Transformation, a Flash remake of a scene from DBZ. Pretty short, but well-done.
The Welder, a powerful song with an equally powerful animation.
Blanco Y Negro, This one has it all - suspense, drama, violence and really slick animation. From the same guy as the equally good Kong from below.
A Simple Message, one man's opinion on 9-11 and the bombing of Afghanistan.
Tribute to RATM, a nicely done video about my favorite band, Rage Against the Machine, right after they broke up.
Robocop: Prime Directives, a very nicely done movie based on Robocop. Takes awhile to load but it's worth it!
World War II, Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Part 1 is mediocre, but parts 2 and 3 rock! However, they all share an uber-annoying slow frame rate.
To Kill an Assasin, about a assasin on the run from the law and his former agency. This one proves you don't need super-duper graphics to make good Flash. Also check out parts two and three.
Heroes of Cybertron, I'm not exactly a big fan of Transformers but this is EXTREMELY well done.
Corporate Puppet, a beautiful tale of corporate misery. Should be seen by everyone before entering the rat race.
A View To a Kill, don't really know how to describe this one.... but it's really good, except for the extremely long walking scene at the beginning. Don't let it deter you from watching the whole thing!
Genyu's Blade, "With the most fluid animated fight scenes, and visual effects ever seen in flash animation, Genryu's Blade is a must see for all fans of Hong Kong Action films, Anime and Flash Animated cartoons."
The Final Task, an awesome short about a samurai fighting a demon of some sort. This was number one on Newgrounds for quite awhile.
Of Mind and Machine, one of my favorite movies of all time. You can tell it draws a lot from Orwell. There's more reading than actual watching, but it's still a work of art.
